Good food, good value, good location, good timing

For us, this place is perfectly located, almost half way between our flat and Pisa Airport. So we have visited many times on our way to and from the airport. Food is good quality and very reasonably priced (5 Euros for Spaghetti Pomodorro!!) and there is a vast selection to choose from. It... read more

I'll start by recommending not to have the buffet starter. I should have realised that it is all just vegetables and pickles so carnivores need to look elsewhere! Having said this, the menu is one of the most extensive ones I have ever seen. Great selection of starters, first main and second main courses with further good selection of side... More

We had the grilled swordfish and the gnocchi. Both were excellent. The pizza came so much later we took it to go, which was a great snack the next day.

This place benefits from being one of the closest restaurants to Hilton's Borgo alle Vigne property. We didn't know whether to expect a typical tourist experience or not. Indeed, many of the customers were Americans, but many also appeared to locals. The menu was huge with something for everybody. They also have a fresh fish counter that added a note... More

We ate dinner at Da Carlo's twice and had good meals both times. The is a very nice antipasti buffet that we sampled both times we visited that had a wonderful array of vegetarian delights (marinated eggplant, mushrooms, onions, squash, artichokes, and peppers as well as olives, carrots, etc.) The main dishes were good, if not always what as an... This was our first meal in the area and it was a good start. The ambience is okay, but it is a bit bright. The food however was good. The local fried fish were tasty. My son had the steak and enjoyed it. My wife also enjoyed the 4 seasons pizza. We both had a bottle of wine to go.... More

Of all our meals in Tuscany, this was the one true disappointment. The place was busy, so we thought that was a good sign. However, it wasn't to our liking. The menu was too broad and the service was poor even by european standards. I think this is a local place that doesn't really cater to visitors.

we had dinner at Da Carlo's on a Sunday night and it was very busy. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. and altogether it's pretty big by Italian standards. They have a number of waiters/waitresses working, so service is quick. The menu offers a lot of choice. My wife and I ordered fish dishes. I had tuna which was... More

We have a lunch there every time when pass it. It is very tasty and not expensive. Seafood and many kind of pasta with it are super!! A little bit slower than you would like when you stop here only to have a lunch. But it is Italian style - lunch is very important thing and it could not be... More
