About
The light, airy café within our family-run department store captures on a plate the same elements of quality, personal service and good taste as the rest of the shop.We serve the very best teas and coffees to go with delicious scones and cakes that are all baked in-house here in Yarm. Even our bread is made on the premises in our new in-store artisan bakery.Or perhaps you’re looking for something more substantial? Soups, sandwiches and light meals are served all day.The café is a great spot to meet up with friends or family, take the children for a treat, or just grab a chance for a quiet catch up with the papers.Customers from years gone by may recall the coffee shop on our first floor. The food is great. Locally sourced and freshly cooked. An excellent lunch in pleasant surroundings. The shop has a range of items that you won’t find elsewhere. Well worth a visit

Popped in when in town for a quick snack - far better than the chain coffee shops with freshly prepared sandwiches and cakes.

Wrap wasn't a wrap. Smoothie was just juice. Overpriced and description of dishes not as expected. On a plus, coffee good.

Mid afternoon on a typical weekend in January, busy but not overly busy. The tables that were available were filthy with a tower of used culinary and cups littered across them. Surprisingly four members of staff seemed entertained by looking at them although no one...More

I came here with my sister for breakfast. The sunday menu was available which had plenty of choice, we were served quickly at the counter. The homemade cake display looked lovely, as was the breakfast and coffee. Will be back when I'm in the area.

We stopped off in Yarm on our way up to Spennymoor. Found this cafe at the back of an Aladdin’s cave shop. The food was excellent, the roasted tomato and basil soup and the bacon and Brie quiche were very nice. Had a lovely hot...More

Friendly advice, as we were given, prepare to be guided through an Aladdin,s Cave of every conceivable toys, china, and using an old fashioned word, "Haberdashery" before you reach the Restaurant. Take time to peruse the big blackboard of everything on offer, our choice of tomato...More
