A party of eleven friends had dinner in the restaurant , superb setting , that's it!! We booked for 8 pm , some of the guests had starters, not impressed, main course arrived at 9pm , one lamb dish was hardly warm , salmon dish was not cooked, 10pm I hadn,t got time for a dessert. Having had few visits to the Quays and great service we chose to have their Traditional Welsh Afternoon tea. The restaurant was very busy - the service was poor . The Afternoon tea platter sandwiches were dry. We added a bottle of Verve to our order and were disgusted when the bill came and the we have been charged £90!!!... More

Great location but overpriced food and drink. Not exactly gastro pub standard but cost as much as a Michelin star I visited recently.

Great choice of meals, with well trained staff. If you want lobster, you do have to pre-order. Would highly recommend.

We had booked into the restaurant but took the opportunity to drink some champagne in our suite first - why not. I had noticed on an earlier visit that local oysters and lobster were available if pre-ordered (which I had done for those who enjoy tackling crustaceans). We had a nice bank of seating in the restaurant to accommodate our... More

We were seated at just after 1.30.pm for lunch just as the Grill Room (or Hotel) were starting their afternoon tea service so our waitress was kept quite busy. Amongst the six of us were starters, plus starters as main courses plus shred main courses, but all appetites were satisfied with relative ease. All food was served hot and tasted... More

On arrival at the restaurant we waited several minutes to be seated even though we were the only people in the queue. After 25 minutes we called the waiter to take our order. 15 minutes later our drinks arrived and another 15 minutes before the food. Although we waited nearly an hour before eating the food was very good. Also,... More

The Quay Hotel and Spa provides a contemporary yet stylish setting, discreet but attentive service and, of course, excellent food. The Grill Room is simply decorated with vistas across the water setting the scene, keeping to a subtle but plush palate, complete with comfortable seating and immaculate place settings. The mouth watering menu includes a large range of local, seasonal Welsh produce and cleverly created dishes, using fine ingredients and beautiful presentation.
