We nipped in while out for a walk from Eccleston to Croston We were only going to have a drink, but the smell of the food tempted us. If you dont want a big meal They do smaller dishes, I.e. a smaller potion of fish and chips The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

I booked here for my friends birthday and we took our children too. I was surprised that I had to pay a £5 per person deposit as I've never had to do this before. I tried to book for 1pm but was told that 2pm was the earliest I could book for afternoon tea but I arrived at 150pm and... More

A friend had heard about how good the Grapes was for afternoon tea so, as we were in the area we decided to visit. We rang to book before we left home but there was no answer(we now know the pub doesn't open till 12). Very soon after 12 they called us back and said they could fit us in... More

Not been here for some time but must say it was another enjoyable experience. The food was great and it was nice to see the quality is still top notch. The beer was a little pricey and we will be back and won't leave it so long next time.

What a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea! Loved the picnic benches which were filled with lovely tasty delicacies both sweet and savoury. Friendly and welcoming team. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to be treated or to treat a loved one 👍

Thoroughly enjoyed the two course meal and would recommend the light bite menu as there is just enough to eat without leaving much

This is one of 5 pubs in the beautiful village of Croston. Located opposite the stone cross and by the river it's great for a drink. The landlady was very friendly and the food being served looked delicious.

It's a village pub elevern miles from my home that serves food and drink, I know nothing about the drink as I don't drink but the food is very much to my liking and I don't mind the drive one bit, I can't comment on whether it's a good place for family and children as I have none to test... More
