The Bell was reccomended by a mate, having travelled some 200miles and in need of a beer and food I was not dissapointed. Some of the best beers and food I have ever had in a Pub. Great hosts, top staff, fantastic night.

Best pub in the area by miles. Winner of CAMRA awards for best pub in the area with frequently changing guest ales which are excellently kept and keenly priced. Good pub food with excellent burgers and a range of other meals, though seating is limited so booking is needed to secure a table.

Serves brilliant pub grub, burger was delicious. The setting is great and there is a nice garden out back. Has a great atmosphere. Always busy so best to phone ahead if wanting to eat. The staff are very friendly. Very nice place.

Stayed in a local campsite and visited this gorgeous pub for dinner twice. Food was amazing and extremely generous. Locals were really friendly and beer was lovely with a great selection of ales. Highly recommend this pub.

We decided to stop by for a pub meal after a day out in sunny Hastings playing Crazy Golf amongst other things. The service was very good and the staff very friendly. The Mozzarella stick starter i was expecting to be hot and breaded, instead was 2 small kebabs containing a few green leaves, two small cheese balls and Sun... More

We have been visiting this pub for over thirty-five years. Obviously, we have seen many changes with the landlords/ladies. However, in the past, the locals were always extremely hospitable and friendly. During the past two years, when we've visited this pub, we've noticed a sharp decline in the attitude towards 'strangers/visitors.' We went with friends and were going to eat... More

Interesting menu choices on the board, but settled for equally interesting sandwich - bacon & brie. Quality bacon freshly cooked, still hot in the generously filled 50/50 (light brown) bread, nice little salad garnish. Wine by the glass in its own little bottle, a good rose Zinfandel. Charming place, such nice people.
