Lovely place, food, setting and staff who couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely lunch whilst working our way through the extensive gin menu!!

Wanted a ride out on our motorbike for lunch. Hermit of Redcoats is a lovely pub and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this pub. Nice garden at the front and a big garden at the back of the pub with car parking spaces. Pub is very nice inside. Staff friendly and helpful.

Went for dinner on Friday night. The staff are great - professional, engaging, knowledgeable and polite. G&T to start at the bar, really good selection of Gins. No offer of bread when seated, which is a bit unusual. Starters: Scallops with coconut and pineapple (scallops great but, not sure that the pineapple or coconut added much) Guinea Foul Raviolo (really... More

The Hermit has enjoyed a tasteful spacious makeover allowing plenty of room between tables but still giving a cozy atmosphere. My partner and I recently enjoyed a Saturday evening at the Hermit where we found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and courteous. The menu was varied but I did not find the food fully up to the mark.... More

What an amazing find. Don't want to heap on too much praise as could well become too popular to book. Can't wait to go again

4 of us ate here for dinner this week and, as usual, had a really good meal. The menu is really good, varied and interesting. Had the lamb sweetbreads as a starter which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Lemon and lime posset for dessert was excellent. Only reason this doesn't get 5 starts this time is because the two... More

We arrived without a reservation and got a great table. The food was amazing and plentiful and the lady that served us was so friendly and attentive. Every time we eat here it is fantastic with lovely dishes and great staff. Just wish this was my local !

Thank Luke L
