We called in early on a Sunday evening, hoping for a table; lucky it was early as we took the last unbooked table. We ordered the Sunday roast, I ordered the turkey and my husband opted for the beef. When our meal arrived, we did remind the waitress we were only two, as the portions were very generous; the veg... More

Really lovely family run place - food is properly home cooked and always super! If you want to feel right at home on a cold evening, sit near the bar right by the log fire... Otherwise the dining area in the conservatory is also very pretty. Order the Coquille St Jacques dish, it's the best!

What can I say other than we were really disappointed this evening. We have eaten here many times before as we are locals and always had a good food and service it's never been problem. We called at 19.20 to ask if a table was available this evening .. Yes there was. Great! Not that busy when we arrived. Waited... More

Generous portions of delicious food. Would definitely come again. Burgers followed by Eton mess. Good ambience and friendly service. We liked that while the staff were interested in us they allowed us to quietly enjoy our meal. Reasonable prices.
