After a 10 mile walk round Malham I was very hungry. This dog friendly pub offers traditional pub food which is very high quality. They specialise in pies with puff pastry toppings. Although I didn't order pie I saw them on an adjoining table. A healthy appetite is required! I opted for the battered fish sandwich with a side order... More

One of us had a Malham pie which was ok though not great. Two of us had a lamb roast & it didn't taste or look like lamb. It looked straight out of the stew pot & couldn't be eaten. Our stomachs suffered all night.... However. The staff were very nice & immediate funded us the dinner costs for the... More

Lovely proper Yorkshire pub, superb local ales and excellent pub grub. Large portions (importantly for this Yorkshireman you can get plenty of gravy) the pies where superb. Great place to relax to have either a quite pint or a lovely evening.

Considering the recent TV exposure and the fact that this was a summer Sunday lunchtime The Buck Inn was surprisingly empty. Top tip would be go for the roast of the day. We had Roast Lamb, a bit expensive at £12.60 but it was delicious. Also worth considering, after speaking to the landlord, they start getting busy about 3.0pm so... More

My partner and I stayed for two nights at the Buck Inn as we were there for the Malham Walk. We were new to hiking and wanted somewhere nearby to stay. The Buck Inn was a perfect location as the walk started and ended at the Inn. The owner, Steve, was extremely helpful and friendly. He couldn't do enough for... More

We had dinner inside, and it was very charming and you could sit quietly. Staff charming. I had a chicken and ham pie and it was really tasteful - and the vegetables perfectly cooked. The bar was a bit cold.

Good communication from the restaurant when enquiring about availabililty in the restaurant. Staff friendly. Very nice lasagne; pie not as good as they claim - chicken and ham pie tasty but not with much meat. Good value but not as nice dining experience as the Lister Arms.

What can I say, they sell Timothy Taylors and it was a lovely pint too. Staff are great and the wife liked a nice rose wine.

Went here for cream tea and hot chocolate after cold rainy walk. Nice cosy atmosphere. Advertising local foods. Hot chocolate had a mountain of whipped cream
