About
For the ambiance, KKO remains true to itself and keeps its first identity: vegetation, wood, sand, and the desire to blend in the beautiful landscape of Orient beach. For the food, the classics you like so much are always on the menu. However, we also offer a culinary journey around the world thanks to our Peruvian chef and his team. New flavors, new recipes and fusion cuisine inspired by Nikkei cuisine, with subtle Caribbean touches … Every Sunday, happiness and the party are in the spotlight! Feet in the sand and a cocktail in the hand, let yourself be carried away by the sounds of our Dj’s. Looking forward to seeing you soon for wonderful moments. Antoine, Doumé and all the KKOTeam.

We stayed at the Orient Beach Hotel and this beach/bar was one of five that you could visit while staying there and also offered the free continental breakfast as part of the hotel package. Unfortunately we spent the first day here because we didn't know...any better at that time. The bartender is not friendly at all, when I asked what time they close his response was "as soon as I can". The beach guy was the most miserable person we encountered during our entire trip. The breakfast was awful, the juice was so watered down we could not tell what we were even drinking, the croissants/bread was something right out of a freezer bag. We decided to order and pay for a regular breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 pieces of bacon for $9, the pancakes were cold and hard and 3" diameter in size. The only decent thing about this place was the young girl that served us, she was very pleasant. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the week at Bikini Beach which I highly recommend.More

Cool music and chill vibes right on Orient Bay. A few similar spots on the same beach but fun to check them all out. Cedric beach guy was awesome!

We had been at Kakkaô several times before at their previous location, destroyed by Irma in 2017. They were rebuilt half a km down the beach and they are better than ever: fantastic food and service. We were there twice over a two-week period. We...can certainly recommend the lobster salad and the Brazilian grilled langoustines. They were both the best meals we had on the beach.More

Love everything about Kko beach formerly Kakao beach and rebranded recently. Rustic, but chic, casual but elegant, great service. Note to Americans: Great service to the French does not equate to FAST service. We were treated so well, great drinks, a very good wine list,...and friendly (albeit very busy) staff that was always there with advice and good suggestions. Try the fresh grapefruit cocktail, hand pressed fruit juices in their cocktails. Top notch! THIS is way to do the beach!!More

We stayed on the Dutch side of St. Maarten, but wanted to spend a day at Orient Beach on the French side. When we arrived we had the cab drop us off at KKO. We were informed it was $25/two beach chairs and umbrella. The...price seemed a little steep compared to what we had been charged earlier all week, but since it was a 35 minute cab ride over, we weren’t leaving. The place was quiet (we were looking for more of a “party” atmosphere.) The service was attentive. The menu wasn’t to our liking, but the margarita was the best one I had on the island. The waves were the biggest we had seen across the whole island too. The kids enjoyed that. As we explored Orient Beach we found that most other beach bars were only charging $5/chair… so keep that in mind.More

One of our favorite places and beaches to spend a day lounging on a comfortable lounger, hearing the roar of the waves, and being protected from the sun by a big umbrella. It also does not hurt that they have some wonderful guys (Flo and...Cedric) that cater to your every need. Umbrella, loungers, drinks, water, lunch, towels brought right over to you. All you have to do is ask and pay of course. Plus they have very clean bathroom and shower facilities and a few cute shops to buy a hat or t-shirt or suntan lotion. It is expensive, but you are on vacation and they do it right so we don't mind paying. However long we are on the island we have to go to Orient Bay at least twice and usually go to Kko every time. Please note that next door Coco Beach had tractors and workers and the restaurant and lounging area were not operational. Sad. Many places on the island are not back yet or may never be, but we love SXM anyway and just take advantage of what is open.More

We rented beach loungers and umbrella at KKO (Kakao) Beach Bar during our day trip to Orient Beach. We grabbed lunch here and it was the best decision made! The ceviche, tapas platter, drinks, dessert…everything was absolutely delicious and the presentation was top culinary quality....You won’t be sorry to choose this place if either staying on Orient Beach, or just hanging out in the area.More

Yes, there is a gravel parking lot with plenty of spaces right next to KKO. When you come into Orient Bay via Rue du Cabestan and right past the entrance to Esmeralda look for a KKO sign on your left and make a left there.
