The restaurant at Villa Ixora offers a real epicurean experience…Everything is a delicacy to taste : a fresh tuna tartar asian style, a delicious smoked fish risotto, a parrot fish filet from the lagoon or the famous mahi mahi fresly catched in the Pacific ocean. Excellent French & Polynesian food

There's a reason this restaurant is the most well-rated on Raiatea: the food is excellent and beautifully presented, and the dining area is in a simple but charming setting. This is the second year my husband and I have had a celebratory dinner at Villa Ixora, and on both occasions, we were wowed by the food and the lovely service. Easy to make reservations via email, the staff is perfectly functional in English and tolerant of lousy tourist-level French. This year I had the magret de canard (duck breast) and my husband had the seared tuna. Both meals were perfectly cooked, delicious, and beautiful, and we splurged on the pate de foie gras to start, which was superb. Not to be overlooked: quite possibly the best darn Maitai I've ever had (and that's saying something.)

We were staying at Villa Ixora and we dined at this restaurant twice during our stay. I think that it's the best restaurant I've been to ! The flavours , dishes and menus are very refined - high quality. I agree, excellent food , beautifully presented. We highly recommend this restaurant !

First restaurant to offer a bit of spice to a dish. We ordered the traditional raw fish dish in Tahiti (everywhere) and at Villa Ixora it had an Asian flair, well balanced with just enough spice. The Burrata salad was light and full of flavors that satisfied. There is a special, or maybe daily, cocktail menu to choose from. We chose well with a champagne citron vodka blend that wasn’t too sweet and very refreshing. We also looked at the dock and rooms, and would consider staying here on our next visit. Clean and quaint.

Simply Delicious!

We stopped here on our way back from Tahaa to Papeete to LAX and we were so glad that we did. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Probably one of the best meals we had in French Polynesia. We would not hesitate to go back and since we are already planning another trip to Tahaa, we probably will!

Don't go out of your way

We were staying at the other end of the Island a drove here for dinner at night. Food was ok, atmosphere was nothing to mention and service was indifferent. I would skip it if I had to make the decision again.

We were staying at the inn, only 2 or 3 guests staying but the restaurant was packed. Very good gourmet meal, I had the largest scallops that I have ever seen.

Excellent food in pleasant peaceful surroundings

I had two dinners at Villa Ixora- one of fish the other duck. Both had high quality ingredients, finely prepared and presented. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant. On both, weekday, occasions the restaurant was busy- with local residents as well as tourists- a good sign. Dining in restaurants is not cheap in French Polynesia but the dinners represented fair value for money.

Excellent Dining with a Very Accommodating Chef

We did not have a reservation but you probably should since I think we got the last table which was not reserved on a Friday night. One of our party is not able to eat anything with any fat or oil in it. We communicated this to the server and they immediately worked to find a solution within their menu and what the chef could do. The food was excellent for all. Being Americans we eat earlier than the French so half way through our dinner the place filled quickly and was packed by the time we left.
