If you don't know where to go in this area for a dinner, go to Karczma Żywiecka, that is almost a tipical local restaurant with slesian food and warm hospitality. Neter deep in local food with very nice slesian beer and you'll be fully satisfied.

Come to this place with family and friends. After ordering food came time to wait (about 40min) order has come in period of 10 min. Somehow fish came faster than dumplings and my beloved cheese soup was not included in order. So I recommend this...place only for look. P.S. Even if this is "Karczma Żywiecki" about 10 min from brewery you can't get here Żywiec beer.More

We went to this place specifically for the pierogi, which were excellent. Unfortunately, they were out of the bryndza pierogi during our visit, and I had to take other types. In 1988, that would not have surprised me. In 2018, it was a very disappointing....Also, they had none of the famous Zywiec beer in stock. How is that even possible for a place that calls itself Karczma Zywiecka.More

The location is good, the staff service was OK but that will be all. The wait time was extremely long. We order our food and were told that the wait time will be about one hour. It went way out over an hour. When the...food finally arrived it was far from good. Salmon was overcooked, chicken stew tasted like from the can. Dumplings were also overcooked. Overall I will not recommend this place to nobody. 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁More

The food is excellent. I would especially recommend the "kotlet" fraction. The service is good and the portions are typically polish: very big. The restaurant is not cheap but definitely worth it!

Can't believe our luck on a long road trip returning from Zakopane to Zlona Gora, on a whim decided to stop for a Zywiec in Zywiec! At first i thought it was my broken Polish the waitress could not understand, but soon realised there was...no Zywiec on offer. Instead, we ordered zupa and were promptly presented with complimentary fresh bread and lard (smalec) which was twice as good as a similar dish i paid 18zty for in Mikowajki! Soon after two generous bowls of piping hot soup arrived (both 10zty each) - mine a clear broth with makaron; my partner's was a Krem Borowikowy, rich, velvety deliciousness punctuated by the texture of soft mushroom pieces and crunchy croutons! So good we only wish our schedule permitted us to linger over another course or two. Maybe next time...More

Visited in the afternoon with my family- place wasn't busy so we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Got a basket of freshly baked bread and a pot of home made lard as an appetiser, main courses were great too. Two gigantic...pork knuckles and pork dish went down a treat. Waitress very smiley and polite- what more do you want! Brilliant, recommended for anyone who likes casual dining.More

Me and my fiancé popped in that the looked like a good traditional place in Zywiec to enjoy some great traditional typical Polish food. Unfortunately the only good thing was the service as the food was not good enough, very bland and flavourless. Not what...we expected, enough to decide that we won't be back in this place.More
