We went there twice, we were 21 people (12 adults, 9 kids, all Greek) so it was difficult to book another place. The place is nice, open room, with good view to Meteora from one side, some parking spots. The menu is small, with only...meat. The taste was medium, nothing exceptional I must say. Surprisingly the portions were different every time, but descent. The personnel was unfortunately not polite at all. He forgot to arrange some orders, he was very negative and impolite to us. The most negative thing was about the receipt. It is a scandal that they do not give you a receipt if you do not ask for one and they find tricks t avoid it. The price is perhaps too large for the quality and taste they offer. Overall it was a very disappointing experience, sorry but I do not suggest this place to anybody. Nothing positive to sayMore

The service is dreadful. Wait staff are unfriendly and appear bored. Food is at best not awful -- but potatoes or rice (if and when they have it) is extra cost. Bread is toasted - no butter or tapenade. Bread was served first, then came...the fries (extra cost), then the salad, then the fatty boney lamb chops. When all was said and done the toast and fries were cold, the Greek salad had all of 3 olives, the feta for the salad was extra cost and the lamb chops had more fat and bone than meat. In summary -- go anywhere else to eat!More

This is a place where the locals go if they are taking their own families out for dinner. Its been around for a couple of generations and very respected among the locals we spoke to. We were traveling for a month in greece, and the...only place which had tomatoes with garden fresh taste was this taverna. The feta cheese was the perfect consistency. The paidakia were delicious and the briam was the best ever had. I agree that the service could be better, but when you have only two waiters for all the tables outside its really hard to give the proper attention. I would still go back since when on vacation we shouldn't be in a rush.More

Just to save everyone's time, avoid this place at all costs. Service is feeble to non existent, the waiter(s) are bored to death and only when one of the locals shows up they seem to get some energy to chat for 5-10 minutes at a...time, graciously ignoring everything and everyone at the tables. Average food, so no win on that side either. No wonder the place is almost empty most of the time.More

A just average tavern on the way to Meteora. Nothing special. Typical food and that's it. A rather bored with his life waiter that brought us tiny portions. I think that it was expensive, considering the fact that the portions were so small. Something else...really annoying was the fact that the TV was on an playing really loud! Sadly, I don't recommend it at all...More

We visited Ziogas on a not very busy Friday night. The service was very slow, although there were not many tables to serve. The menu was very unsatisfactory while the quality of the food was ok (typical greek food). The portions were very dissappointing. Very...small, particulary having in mind the prices which are above normal for a village tavern with a below basic environment.More

One of the worst places we have visit to dine. After we sat at our table, waited for 45’ for the waiters to approach us. Took them another 45’ to serve us the first dishes. The main dishes never came. We complain and asked for...the bill. Waited another 30’ for them to reply. After that we asked for the Manager to place our complaints. Surprisingly enough, the Manager replayed improperly. More then that, instead of a bill, they gave us a piece of paper demanding the sum for the initial full order (all dishes), which they never served. Finally, in this place we experienced bad service, bad quality, bad manners. If one desires to visit it, has to be careful with the analysis of the bill and ask for a tax receipt.More
