While a bit off the beaten Champagne trail, this bar was worth the stop. I really enjoyed the breathtaking views and the staff was attentive. It's worth mentioning that the bathroom situation is a bit "uncomfortable", but it didn't take away from my experience and...should be expected in such a remote location.More

It's true that this place is 'off the beaten path'; you will not find any signs pointing you in the proper direction. Additionally, there is a secure parking lot next to the lighthouse, but otherwise there is no real parking. If you park at the...lighthouse, you will need to walk at least 20 minutes, some uphill, to arrive at the bar. The bar manager was 15 mins late, and rude when we went to check in with our reservation because we had a service animal with a valid doctor's note. He explained that it was clear on the website that no animals are allowed. We obliged because we had already paid for our reservation, and he was cutting the conversation off, saying, "I don't have the time to discuss anything further because I'm already late." Not my problem you are late to work. Also, I would like to point out that the man in charge of 'Perching Experience' had his dog running around. We were holding my small service animal, not knowing whose unleashed and non-collared dog it was, when the man rudely said, "What? Your dog can't walk?" While my partner went to take care of our dog I saw a duo who had been waiting since opening be turned away because the owner stated he could have max 10 people in the bar. In fact, we were only 7 people at the bar so there was space for them. Furthermore, the inside of the bar and the top view point of the bar were closed 'due to COVID', leaving only the outside balcony accessible. Having 1/3 of the bar closed, restrooms closed, one glass of champagne, and receiving no glass or offer of water, the price of 21 euro is absurd. With all these COVID measures, I found it funny that there was no hand sanitizer stations, and that the owner did not wear a mask. He stated he didn't need to wear one because we are outside, but at the same time he says no service animals and there is a dress code? After pouring everyone's glass, he left the bar and didn't return to check on anyone. We decided to stop wasting time at this bar, and left. The couple next to us had been sitting with empty glasses for 20 mins. We saw the owner when leaving and let him know that there were customers who might want another drink. He said, "yeah, yeah, I know. I was going to go." From one service industry folk to another, if you don't like customers, get a different job.More

We had some trouble getting a booking - this isn't easy and I needed help from a French speaking colleague to get it organised. This is why it only gets a 4 and not 5 star review score. The place is fabulous and well worth...the trip from Rheims where we stayed. They only serve champagne or soft drinks though. This meant one of our party didn't get the beer he was hoping for! Really great treat and definitely somewhere special. I would recommend a visit if you can get a booking. Don;t turn up without one as you probably won't be admitted and it's a long way from anywhere elseMore

Staff didn’t speak ANY English and kept us waiting for 15 minutes without doing anything, then when someone showed up, they said we had to reserve via phone as reservations via email would not be honoured. Ok, we’ll go away then, and screw your business...Olivier.More

I was really looking forward to visiting this location. Our group of 6 traveled to France for a champagne education and this lovely location seemed to be the perfect place to end our tour. We made reservations through our tour company, a la francaise for...6 people to visit on thursday sept 9/19 at 5:30pm. Imagine our disappointment when we were notified wednesday night that the Perching Bar had cancelled our reservation. Out tour company owner mathias personally intervened but the perching bar refused to honor our reservation. this looks like an interesting place to visit but now we will never know. Customers are the lifeblood of any business and how you treat them determines your level of success- a lesson they clearly missedMore

This is definitely a must visit if you're in Champagne. Set in a beautiful forest with access over a suspension bridge, Perching Bar is a treetop champagne bar where you can even sit in a swing and drink champagne. A good champagne list with selections...changing regularly also with focus on local producers in the area. A bit on the pricey side but such a unique experience that it is definitely worth it. Definitely need to make a reservation though.More

I booked this place for my husband and I to go to on the last day of our holidays as a memento of our time spent in the Champagne region. It is truly away from the beaten path and we even managed to get lost...in the forest as we stupidly followed Google’s instructions rather than the signs in the village! The owner was really kind and understanding and still let us in even though we were over 30 minutes late so thank you very much for that! The young lady who served us was also very friendly and gave us a good explanation (in English) of the Champagne drinks we were going to taste. The place and the workmanship that has gone into this place is truly amazing and yes you have to pay to get in and “only” get a glass of champagne for it BUT you also get so much more ... you get the experience of a Champagne bar located in a tree house in the middle of the Champagne forest with amazing views ... and that is priceless!More

I made a reservation for 2. Make sure you reserve as the place is small. Paid 21 euros for entry + 1 flute of champagne of choice. The view is amazing, idyllic and quiet (we were there at 12:30 just an apero before lunch so...we were alone!) It’s worth the experience but 1 hr and a champagne was enough.More

This was the best out of our visit in Reims. Originally we had a bit of trouble finding it. Then there were stunning views and a great champagne variety. A bit pricey from what we usually do, but well worth it.

Hi Yes there is a car park which is just near the main ticket entrance. From there you will walk about 5 minutes also via the monkey bridge. It truly is an amazing place to visit for its scenery and views.
