We visited this restaurant in 2006 and were blown away by the fresh fish and seafood pics. We came back with our children for a family vacation, and could not wait to go back........The location is perfect...right on the port of Porto Cesare but don't believe what they serve you is FRESH!! First I called for a reservation and was... More

Food was disappointing. Swordfish came with only slice of lemon. Clams were not gritty so fairly OK. Other seafood with tomatoes and pasta also disappointing. Bread was not served with oil . Would not eat here again.

Slow service to start also rude. When the food arrived the mixed starter to share was definitely not worth the €25.00. Then the main meal got the orders wrong but still tried to tell us it was what we order at a more expensive cost. Basically Extremely terrible

This restaurant located in Porto Cesareo is a well known location in the Region but also in Italy it is let's say some kind of "historical" restaurant. We went to have diner there few times, and the quality of the food is really good ( you can expect that when the place is just few step away from the sea... More

Completely disgusted with the customer service here. I phoned and booked a table for 14 people. The restaurant took my booking and told me that they were preparing the table for us. When we arrived they had given the table away and said we would have to wait, completely denying the booking. Needless to say that we had come from... More

We were there for dinner based on a friend recommendation. The location is perfect, food is the best we ate in Salento and Puglia. Staff are friendly but they take time to react. The cost is not comparable to food and service, we paid more in other places for less-valued food. I would always return there.

It was the first restaurant in Italy I visited that didn't serve a quarter or a glass of wine, only bottles. Very unattentive waiter. Both ruined the whole meal. Antipasto was mediocre. Pesce Spado was fresh. But salt was missing and I had to get it from other tables. Also oil and vingar only served after I asked for it... More

Lu Cannizzu is one of those places that you would only see in a film from the Italian 50's neo-realism... and yet is still going strong and its fish dishes are better than ever!
