Had a great experience in this restaurant. The Turbot and Sea Bass were excellent. Be aware that prices are high though

Excellent Traditional Restaurant in Bakio Good food ! and view on the seaside. 26th August 2016 I had grilled Foie Gras and my wife cod. Initially there was no space but after insisting there dressed up an additional table outside. Jacques

Excellent food - we enjoyed the smoked salmon and tuna, the ondarroa salad, the clams. Even the sirloin steak for children was very tender and well prepared. However the staff was not so much at ease with children.

Dined here on a Tuesday night when most restaurants in the area were closed. Situated just opposite the beach, I would imagine it is very popular in high season, just 2 other tables when we went. Nicely decorated and a welcoming. Good fish, large portions, excellent local wine. Dover sole was a bit pricey at 35euro.

Taken the 3518 bus from Bilbau to Bakio for a long walk to the Hermitage. Stopped off there for lunch, a bit early but they obliged. They were erecting buntings in readiness for Sundays pilgrimage. I was taken by the wine glass filled with green olives and anchovies and virgin olive oil. The cafe con leche was very enjoyable and... More

We ordered salads and fish. The salads were very simple and soaked in olive oil. The fish was really terrible. Like plastic. The Price was just too high for this quality. Not representative for the bask kitchen.

We were staying in the area and were looking for a restaurant for a tasty, good quality dinner. The village was very quiet as the weather had been very poor. We chose this place based on our hotel's recommendation, and the menu looked good. At 8pm on a Friday evening we were the only diners. The formal dining room is... More

Great Basque restaurant close to the beach. Delicious salad with tuna and anchovies and entrees of fish and steak (chuleton). Good sangria and very friendly staff. Wonderful experience overall. Went two nights in a row. May not be " one of the best meals you ever had in a restaurant" but it was pretty darn good and a very good... More
