I actually come here ca every 3- 4 months for the last few years. The Indian food on offer is really quite good and can keep up with good Indian Restaurants in London.
The menu is sizeable with many known favourites (Tikka Masala, Rogan Josht, Vindaloo, Dhal, Butter Chicken among others) and a number of lesser known dishes plus Chef’s selection - a lot to choose from. The food is really nice, no complaint here. What I noted the last few times though is that the service is a bit hot and miss, one night the waiter did rarely come back after serving the mains and really had to be flagged down to get more drinks, on another occasion we had to wait 45 mins plus for the food despite the dining room only being half full, that is one point for improvement.
I seem to pay always ca 50 CHF per person for a starter, main with rice and 2 beers. The view, when sitting by the lakeside windows is great, and the restaurant is easy to reach by car and by train - right by the Horgen Oberndorf train station.

Friday evening, the restaurant full...service "friendly and attentive" apparently nothing works in Horgen-Oberdorf without knowledge of English. White wine, Chardonay, ordered, 2 glasses, inedible, had probably been sitting somewhere for a while..., new bottle, so-so. Well then, 1 hour had passed, then the starter came, after another hour the main course. Overall good. Service....definitely take a crash course and maybe learn some German, it could be helpful if you're even struggling with English. Yes, Horgen is almost like India and the journey there is definitely too long under these circumstances...try to do better.

We could watch the sun set over lake Zurich from our table. The food, a variety of onion bhajis , samosas and poppadums as starters were delicious. The main courses, whether prawn, chicken and lamb were beautifully cooked as well as the rice and naan breads. Everything was served piping hot at the same time.
As birthday surprise my husband got a sparkler candle in a big bowl of ice cream- a lovely surprise. We shall be back there soon

We have been here several times and its always been ok.
This time, however the meal was good, food quality was fine, but the staff were completely miserable!! No smiles or customer service whatsoever.
We can normally put up with this, but after an overpriced bottle of wine, we ordered a Limoncello each to finish, which was a disgrace. The picture doesn't do it justice, but there was a tiny sip of the drink each glass (probably around 0.2dl) and Chf 7 each.
I complained to to the waiter who just told us that it was normal (having had Limoncello all over the world, it really isn't). So, I told the manager who offered us a larger portion or our money back. We had lost the mood of the whole meal by this point and just walked out and told them to keep the money and the drink.
The food is good, but it really is an unhappy place and we won't go back. Also, check out the dust on the shelves in the restaurant, I hope the kitchen is in better shape.

Authentic Indian restaurant with a variety of vegetarian choices! Easily accessible by car or by train (right opposite the train station). Pre-booking strongly recommended as the restaurant gets filled up quickly! Would thoroughly recommend this place jf you are looking for authentic Indian meal

While this is not in downtown ZÜRICH, where there is a durth of good Indian restaurants, the food here is outstanding and the service is quite good. It’s an authentic Indian restaurant in a swiss chalet. If you down mind a 25 minute train ride for downtown ZÜRICH, this is worth the trip.

Had lunch with two ex-colleagues. Buffet was tasty even if not extensive. Not super spicy but just enough to creep up on you. It has to be tough for restaurants in these Covid times, so please make the effort to visit good places like this if you can.

The food is good - mild and not at all greasy. The lunch buffet is excellent value for money for the Zürich region. There's a nice lake view from inside, and some outdoor seating, although that's basically on the road.

I love coming here for discrete business lunches. Lunchtime I‘d recommend the wonderful, very authentic buffet. Take a seat with lake view - reservation recommended to assure perfect seating. Pure authentic service, too - good but rather pragmatic and authentic, not overly friendly or attentive.

Right from Samosa to Paneer Pasanda to Baingan Bharta everything was so damn delicious and the portions were generous as well 😋

- service was friendly though inexperienced; waitress was a little "odd" in her interaction in that she misunderstood a few things, both in German and English.

Delicious, authentic north India food. Helpful, very kind service. Beautiful views over the lake (make sure to reserve a table at the gallery). Very reasonable price. A must go.
