Was I Barna for weekend. Ate beautiful meal on Fri evening. So good we returned on Sat night. No booking but still we were shown to a table within minutes. Food was simply outstanding. Very friendly and good humoured staff. Locals and tourists.

Food was fine. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad either. Would return. Its basic pub food at reasonable prices.

What can I say? This is a very friendly establishment with warm and welcoming staff who made our visit so memorable. I opted for the open crab sandwich. The fresh tasting crab was to die for. We also sampled the calamari (the best I've ever tried), garlic mushrooms and the mussels - all of which were simply delicious.

We stopped here for a quick pint. Lovely bar with friendly staff. Food looked great with extensive menu to suit all tastes.

Excellent food and fantastic service. Four of us are here and we felt as though we found a hidden gem. Strongly recommended at very reasonable prices for the quality of food received. Service was also excellent.

Stopped on the way to west Galway with family. Service was slow. Food was good. Value for money was poor. Fish pie had one prawn and two small pieces of salmon. Served on a dish that was suitable for a side. Salad was made up of lettuce and onions only. Other meals were good but the fish pie was bad.... More

The seafood chowder is a must...but be warned it is a meal in itself! The staff was lovely, fun environment, worth a post dinner walk down the pier afterwards.

Went here when the family was over visiting, The place is beautiful, just up from Barna Pier, great hospitality and the food was unreal. I had mussels and calamari and it was delicious. Highly Highly Recommended. Great pint of Guinness too.

Gorgeous family get together in the gorgeous snug, gorgeous food and a gorgeous waitress. Erika hails from the Faroe Islands (met an Irish man) and is undoubtedly the most amazing waitress I have ever met. Her personality, engagement, interesting stories and amazing customer service are outstanding. Hope Donnellys management appreciate what they have!
