I had an incredibly memorable time here with a couple of my friends from Canada. Both the Chef and his wife are incredibly accomodating and do what they can to ensure you are having a great time. Nothing pretentious about it, and most definitely the...best sushi I've ever had. I'd recommend getting a reservation -- as it fills up quickly -- but will definitely come back anytime I am in Tokyo. Thanks for the amazing experience :)More

My colleague and I arrived cold and tired with no reservation (and no ability to speak Japanese) and we were met and welcomed. After some consultation we were offered a place at the counter and what a result! We got to watch the master at...work as he produced each piece of sushi 'live' in front of us and explained what each element was. My colleague was vegetarian so he had planned to just have beer but chef/master decided that would not be fair and created some vegetarian sushi for him! A great night with some spectacular food in a local restauarant that facilitated us non Japanese speakers with humour and patience. I could have watched the chef/master work all night. Take a risk you will be glad you did!More

A small sushi place that shows true Japanese hospitality. You want to make a reservation and it only takes cash. It is only Omakase which essentially means you will be served the chefs recommendation for the day, so no menu to order from. The place...is welcoming and run by a husband and wife team(I think). Sushi is great and the chef friendly and always smiling.More

I have eaten better sushis for a similar price range in Tokyo. It is not bad and can be visited if you are close by but definitely not worth of going from elsewhere. The service is nice, the chef is paying attention at what you...like more. A small downside is that we got teas we did not ask for or drank and got charged for, but I guess such things can be an issue when you don't speak the language.More

I went here with my wife at the end of a mini-tour of Japan in September, on our last evening in the country. It was the happiest of experiences - good food, a lively atmosphere, theatrics by the Sushi chef, photo ops etc. Touristy? Certainly,...but none the worse for it. The two of us ate and drank ourselves to a standstill for 18,000 yen and it was worth it and more. Two suggestions - do book, and take cash as that's all they take in payment. Relax into the Sushi Ryori Inose experience and smile when you look back on it.More

We were lucky enough to get into this restaurant on a one day notice (we later found out that it is a 3 month advance reservation). Such good sushi and so much fun! I would highly recommend going here if you are in Tokyo!!!!

It is always hard to pick a sushi restaurant in Tokyo but this tiny place in Gotanda is excellent. Just a few seats on the counter, you don't get to chose what you are eating but you do not need to. I went there three...times in just one month and everytime I brought new people with me. The last time we were 4 and we went with no reservation but as they already knew me they offer us the back room. We ended very late and sharing drinks with the owner and the sushi master. Great time and great food in a non pretensious restaurant.More

Cheaper than other overrated sushiman but simply incredible. The number of local people here is a warranty. Go and you'll try the real sushi.

Phenomenal sushi! Forget Sawada and his Michelin Star, Inose is the best omakase nowadays in #tokyo. Our best meal in Japan in the happiest restaurant, can’t go wrong here.

My husband and son ordered a second portion sushi. That tells enough about good food, not? Sldo for me and other son who don’t like fish, got good vegetarian alternatives.

This small local (a bit out of the way) sushi restaurant is run by the sushi chef owner and his wife, who were both very friendly in spite of limited English. The place was very small: one table in the back and and 10 places...at the counter. The majority of customers were local. The sushi was fresh and high quality, prepared by quite the showman. Only a set course of sushi or sushi/sashimi combo. We had the sushi only course, but it was one great sushi dish after another for hours. Our Japanese neighbours (who like the chef, were quite friendly) had the sashimi/sushi combo, which had a few outstanding dishes that we almost missed (they shared a bit and I think the chef added one to our meal because we looked jealous). Later in the meal, the wife showed us pictures to Vegas and LA. Bring enough cash, as they aren't cheap and don't take credit cards. One of the best sushi experiences I've ever had.More
