Hommage was the best restaurant I ate at in Tokyo. The husband and wife team who run Hommage have created a wonderful and romantic restaurant. In an intimate room, they provide incredibly delicious and inventive meals. The restaurant is inspired by French cuisine; the chef...More

The dinner here was amazing, exquisite food with very good flavours. The service was also very good as the staff was kind and they explained every dish in english. I personally don't like tomatoes and as such was kinda worried when they served one based...More

This was a highlight of our time in Tokyo. Everything about this lunch was perfection. The restaurant itself is a lovely mixture of casual and chic, tucked away in an elegant street not far from Senso-ji but far away from the holidaying hordes. The service,...More

This was by far one of the best experiences in a recent trip to China, South Korea and Japan. We visited the place for a casual lunch and ended up with an 8 course meal that was simply astonishingly marvellous. Every detail in the plate...More

Our group enjoyed another great lunch! The food was creative and all but one dish exceptional. I was surprised to like the ice cream made from spruce tree. French techniques and Japanese ingredients - great combination.

I had lunch with my wife. This restaurant, offering creative cuisine with French-Japanese fusions and having one Michelin Star, is located in the residential area in Asakusa, where many tourists are enjoying sightseeing of Senso-ji or Nakamise-dori, and it takes 7-minute walk from Senso-ji. We...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
