Went there with a "group" of 30. Had a traditional menue with Shunsai, Otsukuri, Onsai, Yakimono, Tomezakana, Oshokuji & Mizugashi. Additional Performances with traditional games, which were nicely embedded in the whole evening. Good Quality Food.

Food and architecture and Geisha type entertainment. Not so expensive and good food/sake. A good balance of old and new. Surrounding area is great for a walk too.

This was a fantastic investment both culturally and for our business, it was a fantastic evening with beautiful food and beautiful service. Sayuki was exceptional and exceedingly authentic, the best Geisha experience I have had. We contacted her directly through sayuki.net and she advised we came along to this tea house as it was one of hers that she particularly... More

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We dined on a very traditional Japanese menu in a private room and were delighted to have two Geisha women entertain us throughout most of the meal. One of the women, by name of Kikuno Kashima, spoke perfect English and was sweet and funny. Their entertainment -- singing and dancing -- was... More

We contacted Sayuki to attend a geisha performance in Tokyo. She replied really quickly and organized everything for us. We spent great time with her and her geisha sisters in a wonderful tea house close to Yanaka neighbourhood (it don't remember exactly the address, sorry !). Tasty food and colourful dance with traditional japanese music. Highly recommend if you want... More

Summary: Fantastic evening. Fantastic food. The Geisha were amazing. Very reasonably priced and a brilliantly unique event to complete your Japanese experience. Details found at the bottom of the review. Upon visiting Japan with my friends this summer, one of the tops things on our list of things to see was Geisha! However, I knew that meeting a Geisha was... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
