Neat little place with weird named average coffees and unreasonably long waiting time to enter. I seriously don’t understand why it became so trendy.

Turned out or ryokan didn't serve breakfast. This was indeed a good thing as it made us discover this gem. Best coffee (so far) in Tokyō, and large filling sandwiches, all at a quite reasonable price.

Visited Kayaba several times on our visit to Tokyo. Great coffee and breakfast. Would definitely be a regular if lived near by!

We were following a self guided tour and Yanaka and this cafe was recommended. There was a queue outside waiting to get in and that's a good sign. We had to wait a while for a table but the coffee was good and the atmosphere...More

Sweet little place. Even open on Monday although a lot of places around are closed. We also had tasteful sandwiches and a great piece of pie (today’s sweet).

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the National Museum 10-15 mins walk away. It's in a cute wooden house on a street corner and is obviously really popular, as there was a little queue outside - our wait was about 15 mins only though....More

A small wooden Hut at the corner of the junction. We order their coffee and banana dessert pie (delicious). The coffee was a little acidity but have a very aromatic after taste which goes well with the pie. Cosy sitting space with chairs and tables...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
