I came here for lunch and had to wait but was it worth it? Absolutely! The place is wonderful but the food is fantastic. They specialise in Tofu it’s made in house. I tried one of their lunchtime bento and every morsel was delicious. Would...More

Located in the Ueno Park, the evening view was fantastic. Structured in a traditional Japanese architecture, the restaurant has a quiescent Meiji/Taisho atmosphere.

The restaurant serves traditional kaiseki food. Although our menu was supposed to contain meat, we managed to get a fish-only option, which was absolutely amazing! I was also told they can prepare a fully vegetarian course if booked in advance. Beautiful location and very fine...More

What a wonderful restaurant. It’s the whole experience of eating delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere and served by the most polite and gentle staff you could ever imagine. This is a traditional Japanese restaurant serving, yes, traditional Japanese dishes.

Beautiful place. But I’m a vegetarian. They don’t have vegetarian menu during the Sakura season. Please notice that if you’re a vegetarian.

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
