20 minutes after we ordered our food, our waitress tells us they are out of Tonkatsu and suggested we order something else. We found it strange that they would be sold out of their signature dish at noon on a Tuesday, in the middle of...More

Located upstairs amongst the restaurant & Yodabashi precinct of Shinjuku within walking distance from Shinjuku station. The focus is Tonkatsu (deep-fried pinko-crumbed) pork, chicken or seafood mostly as set meals or combinations. The food is ultra crispy, moist & succulent without being greasy. Ground sesame...More

Tokyo friends took us to this place since I am a fan of tonkatsu! Delicious food, pink! rice, lovely salad. It's a little hard to find, but worth it. Grinding sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle to make the sauce was a first for...More

For a first meal in Japan this was a friendly, welcoming restaurant serving a simple menu based on breaded fried pork, cabbage, rice and miso soup. Not haute cuisine but good quality and very enjoyable.

The service was fast but not particularly warm or friendly. The food was okay but not worth seeking this restaurant out for...if you're in the area and you want some decent tonkatsu this is the place for you. If you want the best tonkatsu in...More

This is a small restaurant on the second floor on the back street of Nishi-Shinjuku, aka "Yodobashi Camera" area. This is good tonkatsu. This is not "the best tonkatsu I ever had in my whole life" or "fantastic tonkatsu by somebody who never had it...More

Small restaurant in the heart of Shinjuku, plenty of locals and some tourists. Be prepared to wait but the lines move quickly. The eyes are a good deal. You can choose between two kinds of rice, two kinds of miso, many sauces and salad dressings....More
