We went there for dinner, my wife and our 2 year-old. We stayed at Hilton just cross the road and asked hotel to make a reservation for us. It was a great experience! The food was fantastic, we were addicted to the beef! It so tender and delicious! Moreover, the services were also excellent and staff(waitress) was very friendly and... More

This chain is my regular place to eat when I am in Tokyo. Great beef, great service, affordable place. This branch is easier to get a seat in the evening. Highly recommended.

My friend decided that she wanted to have beef, so we went to the Ningyocho Imahan branch at Shinjuku Takshimaya. What a treat! She had the suki yaki beef course, which was a generous serving and tasty, while I opted for the steak - simply grilled and served Japanese-style with a salad, gohan (Japanese rice), a bowl of steaming miso... I used my credit card concierge service to book ahead and provide instructions as to how to walk from the nearest station which was great. This also meant the restaurant was expecting two English speakers and was prepared. We had the shabu shabu ogi set which was delicious and a small sake to share. I cannot fault the food and... More

Without fail, we will always pay a visit this place. They have the best sukiyaki! Most of the time it's full, so a reservation is a must.

We tried this restaurant based on tripadvisor rating in shinjuku. It turned out to be our best dinner in Japan. We took the sukiyaki set menu as we didn't know what to choose, just choose the set menu. Service was friendly, food was nicely presented and very delicious. We are happy we went there.

If you are staying at Hilton Shinjuku Hotel and want to have a nice meal within walking distance, this restaurant would be the No. 1 choice as it is just located next door in the basement. But be prepare as it is fine dining atmosphere, service n price. They have small individual rooms if you like privacy or they have... More

One of the best sukiyaki I have ever tried. The quality of meat and food is superb. The service is equally excellent and waitress actually cook the sukiyaki for you on the table. The restaurant changes the set menu in according to the season.

This place is expensive, but if you want to splurge, this is a great place to come to. The food was wonderful : we all got the multiple course set menu with sukiyaki and enjoyed it very much. The service was also great, with one lady preparing the food at our table. It was good that we had made a... More

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
