Had a great experience here, we had the Tonkatsu and it really was superb probably one of the best I have had in Japan. When I return to Tokyo I would certainly go again. Food was cooked to perfection, chicken was very tender and moist.

Went here one lunch time and there was a bit of a queue and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Me and the hubs went for the set lunches (one with pork loin and one with minced pork meat). The set lunches...More

Maisen is quite a famous tonkatsu restaurant with queue always seen at the shop. It offers a variety brands of pork. The restaurant also offers different type of set meals, for example, some meals come with normal miso soup while some are served with tonjiru,...More

We came in around 2pm and there was still a line for lunch. There is an english menu for easier understanding. It amazed me that there were diff types of pork and some had limited servings per day. Since we came in late, a lot...More

Place looked promising, we got the traditional Japanese seating upstairs. Our server was great and it was fun to read the different types of pork that they served. The pork was crispy and the sauce wasn't anything special. The reason why I am giving a...More

We got in at about 5:15pm for dinner with a crowd in the main hall already. May need a reservation but this place seems to take in a lot of local guests!! When you enter you get your usual greetings and quickly ushered to a...More

Probably the best lunch of the trip. A bento tray of sushi and tonkatsu and a soup was both beautiful and tasty. Highly recommended though with no reservation a stort wait is to be expected but worth it.

Was walking around omotesando and decided on Tonkatsu for dinner. This meal was not the cheapest, but it was very good. I came around 7 pm and got seated right away, it was a very big restaurant and if you are a solo eater, you...More

Highly recommend trying this place if you like Tonkatsu. This restaurant has a large seating capacity and was easy to find off the main roads of Omotesando. Pros: we went here for an early Dinner to avoid any lines/crowds at approx 6pm. The restaurant was...More

Staff can speak good English and even say words like "appetiser". This shows that the place is popular with tourists. Food is expensive. Expect over 3,000yen for a meal. There are cheaper options but the usuals would be approx that price. U can get a...More

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

About 10-15min walk from harajuku station. You can take different route to get there, as it's not off the Takeshita dori. I would avoid going that way as it's too crowded- unless you want to tour through Takeshita dori on... More

Hi Ivy, Apologies for late response, didn't get notified! I can't remember exactly but probably no fish, chicken maybe... :) I think they do have prawn or seafood choices, very limited though.
