We went at around 5.30pm, it was quite empty; glad we didn't have to queue for this good tonkatsu! Regret we didn't request for goma dressing to go with the cabbage... Not sure if they do have that though. Other than that, we enjoyed the food very much, especially the very tasty & crunchy crust!

I first visited this fantastic tonkatsu restaurant 10 years ago and have tried this 4 more times whenever I have a chance to visit Tokyo Despite the proliferation of more tonkatsu restaurants all over the world, this place is still a classic. Consistent top notch quality!

I love this chain...food is always so very good...never let you down...the mayonnaise dressing is top notch...service also good and the putters are always clean and fresh...different types of meat quality but even the basic piece is very tasty and jucy... Very good price level... Recomended and will return..

I didn't get this place at all and don't think it's worthy of the high TripAdvisor rating. I understand that there is only so much you can do with Katsu Curry (it is what it is) but I thought the food was stodgy, the decor dated and the ambience lacking. And I don't mean we were expecting luxury - we... More

We used to be more katsudon so we've only tried a couple of tonkatsu. But we can ensure that this place is a "must go". The tonkatsu was really delightful, the taste was amazing and we are not exaggerating. But what about the restaurant itself? What else can we say ; the service and the place were both perfect, the... One of my favourite restaurants ever. The food here was simply incredible. There is a reason there are queues outside this restaurant. The fantastic tasting pork with amazing dips, great service and cheap prices make this place a must visit.

Premium, melt-in-your-mouth tonkatsu with a crisp outer shell of panko. You've read it on a hundred other reviews, I'm sure, this is some tasty pork. No reason not to eat here. My meal was 950 yen and came with soup, rice and pickles plus a big pile of shredded cabbage. Easy to get here by train from haneda airport, perfect... More

I am not experienced regarding Tonkatsu so I'm not a bona-fide source to comment on it. Nonetheless here are my two cents: The meat was soft, very well cooked and tasty. I love black pork, which we eat a lot in my home country, but I had never tried it cooked Tonkatsu style. I was smitten and will for sure... More

After reading the rave reviews, we were excited to try the best tonkatsu in Tokyo. We managed to get a seat almost immediately when we went around 530pm. We had the okita kurobuta pork tonkatsu, and my husband loved it while I agreed with some of the reviews that it was a tad too greasy for my liking.

Found this restaurant walking around, during my last night in Tokyo. The Katsu was outstanding. I sat downstairs at a counter. I think there's an upstairs with tables. Staff is very friendly and helpful. English menu available and they take credit cards. Definitely worth a visit.

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
