The pancakes were so delicious and soft. Most of all the staff was incredibly friendly even by Japan standards which are already very high. They struck a conversation with us and gave us advice on what stuff we should eat and see while we were...in Japan. Our trip benefitted greatly from our interaction with their staff and we are extremely grateful for that. We had a caramel pancake and it's the sort of plate that makes you sad to see disappear before your eyes.More

The appareance is not like the classic american pancake, these one are highter and fluffy. I was skeptical but I have to admitt that I was wrong! After the first spoon i was conquered. Amazing taste and artistic preparation. I recommend of course "Rainbow pancakes"...for an happy and tasty breakfast in Tokyo.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here... the menu is small, but that is because each dish is very unique... we came on a Friday early afternoon and had to wait. My only qualm was a small hair found in my pancake, as the place seems...very clean, I am sure this is a rare occurrence and would still return!More

long wait, but thats not surprising. service is lacking from bringing the order of the drinks especially to payment. The pancakes do taste good, we took the strawberry special and choclate orange. everything is fresh.

Simple and wholesome, the food was great, and the service was fantastic. We would definitely go there again next time we are in Shibuya

Yet another pancake shop I visited which turned out to be a good place to visit but definitely not as outstanding as 'A Happy Pancake'. The pancakes are great but the service is somewhat lacking and if you don’t arrive early you will struggle for...seating as it is very limited so not ideal for pushchairs and large groups.More

Personally I am not that into pancakes, however since my mom insisted, we went to "rainbow pancakes" for desert. The place is pretty hard to find, because it is located in a small deep alley. On the way you can see a lot of small...local clothing shops and you can really feel the Shibuya atmosphere. We arrived around 2pm and the place was packed with people. Since they only have limited seats we had to wait for roughly 15mins. But the wait was definitely worth it! I had Caramelized apple pancakes and my mom had pancakes with vanilla ice creams. They are both so delicious that even for a person who doesn't eat pancakes that often it is hard to resist. The portion is very large and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have afternoon tea or if you simply just want to find a place for desert.More

Loved eating at this place, got two kinds of pancakes (don't even remember the names, probably doesn't even matter because all of them are probably incredible). My only regret is that my two friends and I got full and couldn't order more...

My daughter found this gem after researching top Tokyo spots and it did not disappoint. Japanese "jiggly" pancakes (though we did not find them jiggly) are apparently now trending in Japan. We arrived 10 minutes after opening on a holiday and there was already a...line with the first customers (obviously on line before opening) already eating breakfast. We waited only about 20 minutes for the first customers to finish. (After breakfast, the line was much longer.) While we waited, the owner gave us a menu in Japanese (no English available) which we did not speak/read but it had pictures of each food item and he described each of the items to us in English. We ordered while we waited in line (typical for Japanese restaurants). The restaurant was hip/trendy, charming, clean and small with maybe 8-10 small tables -- probably 6 persons max at a table. We came for breakfast but it is a rather decadent menu (limited menu with essentially 5+ sweet and 5+ savory pancake options plus drinks). We ordered the 1. apple caramel, 2. macadamia nut and 3. sweet potato, which was accompanied by an actual sweet potato. The pancakes themselves were fluffy and delicious but the toppings including even the whipped cream were spectacular! The pancakes were fluffy and light -- sort of a combination of a pancake and souffle. The Sweet Potato and Macadamia Nut with a hot nutty cream sauce were both our favorites! The prices are high (1,300 yen/$12 for 2 small pancakes) but it was interesting, delicious and worth a try. Not necessarily a must do. They have a room downstairs below the main restaurant that you can rent out for 90 minutes for 2000 Yen, which is good if you have a larger group. Overall, yummy but a bit overpriced for pancakes.More

Happy with the freshly made pancakes. Only made from scratch after you placed the orders. Super fluffy and delicious.

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
