This strategically-located near the JR South Shinjuku exit is a small house in itself. Service is client-oriented and the food tastes Italian (we had spaghetti a la carbonara). This makes it a good choice for a halt between a train ride and some shopping in the department stores.

We had dinner here after coming from a tour, we were so tired so we decided to eat here since the subway exit was located in this mall, someone told me italian food in Japan was delicious and he was right! We ordered a salad, 4 cheese pizza and 3 kinds of pasta, all of them were perfect! Will definitely... More

What ended up as our second most expensive meal so far in Tokyo was by far the worst. The salad was nothing but leaves the appetizer plate was not what was expected from a cheese and meat selection ( no meat no cheese) but some pickled veges and other things that were not inline with the menu. The crab pasta... More

We've been to several Italian restaurants in Japan over the years, but this one, above the Tokyo Shin-juku railway station, is excellent. It was conveniently close to our hotel and we actually ate there three time during a recent week spent in Tokyo! Staff are polite, friendly and helpful despite speaking very little English, and the food is very good... More

We were staying nearby and could see this was a popular place. The menu and food are very authentic - happy, well trained staff. Excellent authentic italian food - real Italian - not the US version. Order the risotto - presented with flair at the table.

I have stayed many times at Century Southern Tower nearby throughout the years but never tried this restaurant. So finally, I decided to opt for a lunch based on its attractive price and some online reviews. We got there rather late--close to 2:30pm so the restaurant was virtually deserted. Upon closer inspection of the menu, the lunch prices ranged from... More

Really surprised by this lively and friendly Italian restaurant. The green salad was outstanding crisp and tasty with a nice tangy dressing, the ragu tasted authentically Italian and my husband had an excellent steak. The tiramisu was soft and flavoursome and the pana cotta, which was actually a crème caramel, was tasty. Staff efficient and attentive. Reasonably priced and well... More

We stopped by earlier in the day to make a reservation, which we did successfully (in the smoking section because the non-smoking section was already booked up). When we arrived, we were greeted with great service. We ordered 3 appetizers to share and they were of pretty good quality and pretty delicious. However when we tried to order our main... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
