Big and beautiful 'Black Wagyu' burgers well prepared in a welcoming setting. Not the cheapest burger in town but easily one of the best.

Read the reviews and had pretty high expectations but the final product surpassed even that! Juicy and moist, nice bread... Zucchini fritters as fries substitute is a great option... Only negative is the selection of draft beer but otherwise a great experience. Will definitely come back when next in Tokyo

I make the bold statement in the title without trying any other burgers, but considering this was the best burger I have eaten (and I have the waistline to show for all the burgers I have dealt with) it is an easy comment. They grind the beef and make each patty prior to cooking, the freshness is unbelievable and amongst... More

This is definitely worth trying. The burger is fantastic, and comes with great potato wedges. We also loved the salad and cod fish side. Definitely the best burger in Tokyo! The burger was about US$20, which was worth the price for that quality of Wagyu beef.

Heard a lot about Blacows from many reviewers so thought would go and try out a Japanese kobe beef burger while in Tokyo. Again I think my expectations were very high so it was a let-down. I have had a better burger at Shake Shack and at Nomad Bar in New York City. The burger was nice but nothing that... More

We visited Blacows last summer and we really enjoyed it. It was probably the best burger we have eaten ever. Everything was really tasteful: meat of course but also the bread and the fries that came with the burger. Nice place to taste wagyu.

It was a lucky coincidence that just before my trip to Japan I was a programme on TV that highlighted Blacows' as the place to go for a wagyu burger in Tokyo so I duly made a note of the details and promised myself I would give it a visit. Tokyo is a large sprawling city so depending where you... More

The meat was succulent and juicy so no complaints there. What makes it different from any other burger joint is the sauce used, which has a tangy unique taste. I didn't loooooove the sauce but it was ok. The chips were good and the meal as a whole was filling. They do a pretty decent kids menu for 1000 yen.... More

You're probably thinking why would you go all the way to Japan and then go for a burger?, I was thinking exactly the same, however, one of my friends I was travelling with wanted to try this restaurant, so off we went. I am really pleased we did, the burger was delicious, normally I find burgers heavy, however, this one... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
