We had the 50th Anniversary (of the opening of Paul Bocuse's restaurant in Lyon) menu for luncheon. What a fantastic start with the pumpkin mousse amuse bouche: it didn't sound anything wonderful but the first bite had us admitting to the 'wow' factor. Perfect texture and flavours in this starting course! Next was a cold salmon entree: good quality salmon... More

The food experience is just exquisite. Although the prices are quite high, the satisfaction from the taste, ingredients used and the art of how it is conveyed on to the plate, certainly exceed expectations. The wine is also exquisite and guaranteed to be as such thanks to the professional help of the sommelier. There is nothing negative about the service... More

I think this restaurant is suitable for a family gathering event rather than romantic/date type event. We went for lunch with my 3.5 year old son and was happy that there was finally a french restaurant in Tokyo that would cater to young children. The staff spoke good english and the seating was spacious. It was sort of a large... More

We were there for a celebratory lunch with the whole family including a couple of kids below seven years of age. It was a last minute reservation and our top choices were already fully booked while some other restaurants would not accept children below seven years old. Maison Paul Bocuse was definitely child friendly. When we were there, there were... More

I think my headline says enough! This is hardcore Michelin star service. I love to see when the waiting staff knows exactly what their doing, and are in complete control even in a full restaurant. I've read other reviews of this place and some complain of the restaurant is located in a basement, which is true, but my god what... More

Granted it was the morning but they only had ice tea and orange juice that tasted like it was from concentrate. Then I noticed a few beer... More

We are speaking traditional French quality food -- no crazy adventure -- the traditional "Poularde en Vessie de Porc" is available but needs pre-ordering. This is signature traditional dish of "Mere Brazier" were Paul Bocuse started his career as a young man.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
