+ Good broth + Good ramen + Quick service +/- Small menu - Cha sieuw Went here early and there was already a queue. Luckily, it goes fast, the service is good and people eat and go. The choice is limited, but this is not per definition a bad thing. The cha sieuw was oke, it was not soft and... More

A nice, clean and simple ramen shop. There's the usual machine to pay before ordering, the usual icy water and of course the owner doesn't speak english, but you should come here to eat and not to talk. The broth is delicate, a nice egg side soft pork slices and the noodle are greatly cooked. There's displayed an award for... More

This place is a small, basic, no-frills noodle bar, which seats about 10 people. There isn't a sign outside which displays the name of the restaurant in any language, so look for a picture of a steaming bowl (see the attached photo) and a line of local folks waiting patiently to get in. Once inside the shop, look for a... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
