The Setagaya location truly is a hidden gem. It's in an incredibly residential area, and the store is so tiny that if you blink you'll miss it. Located at the end of a small street, this store is a must for Totoro lovers. You can...actually reserve cream puffs by phone, guaranteeing that you will get the flavors you want. If you do this, the cream puffs will already be packaged and waiting for you at the counter on the ground level of the store. Check out the website first to know which to order... I got caramel banana, strawberry and the classic custard cream! So good... and too cute!! Everyone in the shop is super nice and helpful as well. If I am ever back in Tokyo, I'll be back for sure!More

After visiting the Ghibli Museum, you may be in the mood for Totoro Cream Puffs. Instead of going all the way to Setagaya/Shimo Kitazawa, you can actually find the Cream Puffs at an outlet at Kochijōji station. Take any bus from across the street to...the Ghibli museum and it will take you to Kochijōji station and take a short walk of about 3-5 mins South East along Suehiro-Dori and you'll come to the little outlet store on your right.More

One of great puff i have tasted. Only reason why it wont get 5* because they set time only 1 hour to sit. Im there just for the puff of course will be less than 1 hour but again. Maximizing profits yeah i know. A...quite popular place so cant say anything more. Nice ambience quite small space but they got place for bags. So it is nice too. The toilet is clean too.More

Located near Setagaya-Daita station, 5 minutes walk from the station. We got reservation from the previous day, so its easy to get our service. Cream Puffs are so cute and so delicious! Must come and try.

We absolutely adored the cream puffs here! The place itself was so cute!. The location is very residential, then you turn the corner and it feels like you walked into a Miyazaki film. We got three of the available cream puff flavors. They were all...exceptional! The chocolate was a standout. We also got lattes which were good. We got there before they opened and there was a line--many people had reservations that they had apparently called in for? We were the last people in line without reservations to get seated, and after that I think the wait was about one hour for a table, so I highly recommend either showing up early or making reservations in advance if you can figure out how (I don't speak Japanese, I'm sure it's easy if you do). They also had a menu of savory food, mostly pastas and maybe some sandwiches. We only tried the cream puffs. Definitely worth a trip if you are a Ghibli fan and a creampuff fan!More

The presentation of the cream puffs does live up to it’s standard. They are uber cute and it was so difficult to eat them. LOL! I would have given it at least 4 stars if the fruits they used were fresh and not canned. The...Mango and Peach flavored cream puffs had a metallic after taste. The chocolate flavor was average. The custard original flavor was heavenly. I recommend this place to instaworthy pictures. My opinion is you come here to take cute pictures or enjoy watching the cream puffs but there are better tasting cream puffs. They are a bit expensive too so unless you’re a super fan of Ghibli, it might not be worth it for you.More

We visited the cafe and loved it. The pastries are so realistic and come in three different flavours: strawberry, custard and chocolate. They were very light and tasty and definitely recommend visiting if you are a Totoro fan.

Ever since my ghibli tour last august, I have been eyeing this bakery. I am so glad that I finally managed to get to try the cream puff! There were a variety of flavors which I think would change time and time. However when I...went there, the 4 flavors were macha, chocolate, strawberry and the original custard flavor. I chose the custard flavor and I didn't regret it. After my pasta lunch and custard cream puff for dessert, I then went to buy some cookie souvenirs and shared it with my Japanese class and friends. My Japanese teacher kept saying kawaii when she saw the souvenirs. It's a must-go! Just take the train from shinjuku via the odakyu line to setagaya-data station.More

We had a nice afternoon coffee here on a rainy Monday in June. We sat upstairs in the cafe and had a regular cream puff, a chocolate cream puff, and a coffee each (you have to order at least one food item and one drink...to sit upstairs). The coffee was lovely and the cream puffs were as a delicious as they are cute! This is a wonderful stop to pair with a day wandering through the Shimokitazawa thrift stores, though probably not worth just making a special trip for.More

There's 2 possibilities for having your Totoro puff pastry: you can sit and eat on the second floor with a coffee/tea if you booked in advance (otherwise you have to wait 40mins), or you can just take away your pastries. I warn you, this place...is getting more and more popular, it's hard to find a sit but it definitely worth it, you SHOULD TRY IT! So typical from Japan.More

I arrived 3:45pm on a Friday and there were plenty left over, they didn’t sell out of any of the flavours (:
