Junoesque makes good bagels (you can even find them in upscale supermarkets in Tokyo) and this place (Junoesque Bagel Cafe Jiyugaoka) was where it all started. If you like bagels, this is the place to go. I tend to go here for Sunday brunch. If you go there for lunch, you can get their lunch special (A Lunch: sandwich of the day, salad, dessert and soup for 820 yen or B Lunch: 2 different sandwich halves, fries and soup for 980 yen). To me, that seems like a pretty good deal. If you don’t speak Japanese, this kind of “fast food” type place where you order and pay at the counter (self-service), is really easy and quick. So, I recommend this place if you are on a budget or “on the go.” You can find Junoesque Bagel at several locations around Tokyo, but this location was where it all started. It first opened up for business in 1998 and has been in operation (and expanding ever since). It’s open from 10am till 10pm. Those hours don’t exactly make it a good breakfast spot, but for brunch, lunch, snack or if you want to order to go and eat outside under the cherry trees (where the benches are on the South side of the
