Great food, looking forward to go back Food is great, especially their 2,400 yen all you can eat deal. One thing that need to be improved, is the sitting quality. Hard benches and chairs. a more comfortable sitting will make people want to sit longer and spend more $$... Friendly staff and nice music.

Pining for authentic Israeli cuisine then head over to the oldest Israeli restaurant in Tokyo, Shamaim. A cozy 50 seat restaurant, tucked away in Ekoda, which is just 4 stops on the Seibu-Ikebukuro line from Ikebukuro station. They have an à la carte menu & a variety of set menus like a Falafel set, Hummus set, Kebab set, etc. But... More

4 of us gad dinner here. The restaurant is not very centrally located but very much worth the trip for a good meal with high quality ingredients. Particularly tasty were the falafel, the shakshuka, and the humus, which tasted freshly made (although not certain whether they make it in house or not). Also a very good resto for vegetarians as... After hearing good things about this restaurant, my family dropped by one early Saturday evening when in the neighborhood. It was already busy when we arrived and, without a reservation, we were about to be turned away until the owner found us a table, warning us that we only had a certain amount of time to eat, as the table... Visited Shamaim with my fiancé for an early dinner on the recommendation of a friend.. Had the all you can eat course which is an absolute bargain for Tokyo. Delicious Israeli/middle Eastern staples such as felafels, hummus, shish kebabs in addition to numerous salads and other items including a delightful vegetable soup. We literally ate and ate until we hurt... More

I used to live in Tokyo and I found myself returning to Shamaim again and again(sometimes in the same week) for the wonderful food and the welcoming atmosphere. If good music, people and great food all at a very reasonable price isn't your cup of tea(they have great mint tea by the way), then you owe it to yourself to give... More
