Staff is really gentle and entertaining. Food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. They grill everything in front of you. Highly recommend this place!

Interesting and fun concept, entertaining cooks, good food, small portions, unbelievably expensive. The server will explain how it works, and will rattle off the prices and sizes of everything very quickly, if you ask. There are no menus though (as the raw food is all out in front of you to select), and good luck remembering those prices that were... More

It's a folkloric small restaurant, it's more of a show than a good place to eat, it's designed as a square, you have two chefs seated with robatas (grills) in front of them and a huge selection of vegetables, a live aquarium with fish and seafood, chicken, meat and vegetables, you pay everything by the piece, it's very very expensive... When we walked in the restaurant, it was full of tourists. The employees definitely put on a show...it's loud and fun to watch. We had a small order of sashimi and the kobe beef, vegetables, chicken. We had sake and beer as well. I was SHOCKED at the $430+ bill. Ridiculous for two people. The food was tasty but certainly... More

A must for a traditional rybota Tokyo meal. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The food is laid out in front of you and you choose what you want. All of the food was so fresh and it was a show to watch them cook everything in front of you. The saki flowed like water and the staff made... More

My husband and me have been there for an entertaining and amazing night. The people who work there are much fun; they all scream and need to have very strong arms to use the paddle. We loved the whole feeling of being a part of the process. I think this is a MUST DO for your Tokyo trip!

The quality of the food is very good, the staff is funny and friendly, but in the end, when you see the amount in your bill, you feel you didn't understand what you missed. For the price paid, I'd rather go to a more deserving place for my money's worth.

Was recommended to this place by a family member and it was a great night out. I loved being able to select the fresh produce and how the cooked dish is presented to the diner on a long paddle. You can dine at your own pace and it's interactive even if you don't speak Japanese. Looking forward to returning.

We had a great time at this small Japanese barbecue restaurant in Roppongi. Communal tables and exceedingly friendly staff create a fun atmosphere. Not much English spoken, but it doesn't matter. You just point to whatever you want them to grill for you. The freshest possible ingredients are displayed attractively at the counter. We chose snapper, yellowtail, sardines, barbecued chicken...
