Awesome German Bar/Restaurant. If you want the real stuff go there. It is a little pricy but definitely worth it. The food is original south German style and the decorations are very "Urig".

Bernd's bar was recommended by an Austrian Lady friend, living in Sydney! It lived up to everything she mentioned and more. The bar is a living and evolving history of both Bernd and his wife Naoki San, with lot's of sport's and other memorabilia! My only regret, I arrived after the kitchen had closed, as the typical German meals were... More

My husband had the rahmschnitzel and I had the Garlic Steak they were both wonderful. The German radio station, atmosphere and friendly staff were an added bonus.

After the crowded streets of Roppongi Tokyo we found this welcoming German bar where we could catch our breath and drink a good beer. An amazing number of famous people have been to this bar and left their foto and signature. The atmosphere was very friendly and in a party mood. We met the owner Bernd, who has had this... More

Awesome atmosphere. German paraphernalia surrounds you as you listen to German radio while enjoying your meal. This bar has a good selection of German beers on tap. We got the sausage sampler plate. It was delicious. I highly recommend it. The owner happened to be sitting at the bar and made it a point to ask us how our meal... More

A bit of a walk from the closest station, but this place has a cozy feel. Its owned by a German who has decorated the interior with pictures and trinkets from his life. The food is good and prices are reasonable. Sometimes they have a band come in and play live music during the Oktoberfest season.

We have come to Bernd's during every trip we took to Japan, and on our latest trip we came alone and also brought our hosts to show them German food for the first time. Bernd and his family run this restaurant in Roppongi. It is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but it is great. I've had German... More

Visited here last Saturday on my visit from Tokyo. There is a mixed crowd of expats and Japanese. The German owner was not on site but the Japanese manageress and the bar man were great. Each German beer is served in its own special glass - I've posted some photos. I cannot comment on the food as I did not... More

Not too far from Roppongi crossing, across the street is a Lambourghini dealer, is Bernd's bar on the second floor. Bernd has been in Tokyo around 16 years and the place is an institution. Many German and American business people hang out there, but the place is down to earth and the owners humble with a great sense of humor.... More
