Great authentic Japanese sushi restaurant with not many tourists. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna belly, however the Sea Urchin is a bit heavy for standard western taste buds. Highly recommended. For lunch it costs between 3000 to 3500 Yen, which is reasonable considering how...More

Recommended by someone who is a big fan of Matsukan, we spent a lot of time finding it. It is nestled in a residential neighbourhood and not the easiest to locate in the dark. The sushi bar was very chaotic with 4 chefs working non-stop...More

Serious sushi lovers must try this place because the sushi was incredible. For example, I like ikura but I'm not a huge fan because most places either over salt it or it's too bland. This restaurant, however, got it exactly right. All of the seafood...More

Small hidden gem very close to Roppongi area. The sushi was incredible, one of the best I had during my trip to Tokyo and it was not as expensive as the more touristy options recommended by the hotel.

This was the nicest fish I've ever had. The restaurant was full, wish about 15 people, but each group had their own personal chef. Our chef, Yoda, offered us a choice of Sushi or Sashimi. I had Sushi and my girlfriend had sashimi, and the...More

I've been going to this place for around 25 years, and I reckon it's perfect. Atmosphere is so important in a sushi shop, and this place combines unpretentious decor (though always with a simple seasonal flower arrangement behind the counter) with friendly, but highly professional,...More

Excellent traditional sushi place for 30 years. Quality is first rate but also has something new to surprise your taste buds. Popular among financiers and local neighborhood folks alike. Many non-Japanese living nearby or on business. No pretentiousness, just good food and drink.

Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the
area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot
to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art
Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art
galleries.
