After about 10 days in Japan, my family was ready for some good ol' American tasting pizza. This place hit the spot! Food was very good, service was great and Derek (the owner) was very personable. Would highly recommend to anyone staying at the Grand Hyatt. It's close to the hotel and we did takeout one night.

PIZZAKAYA is truely the best Pizza restuarant in Japan. Lived in New york for many years and loved the the New York Pizza. The taste, is just like the Pizza I enjoyed back in New York. This place is great ! Kenny

A friend told me to check out their restaurant since I visit the one Okinawa often and I was very pleased. The pizza was great and they had a great beer selection. Great place to visit in Tokyo!

After a year and a half of living in the Tokyo metro area, I was rather disappointed in the pizza choices (and perhaps having lived in NYC prior to moving here was a factor). Pizzakaya, however, did not disappoint. Tons of choices on the menu, healthy portion sizes, and reasonable prices for being in Roppongi. They also have an extensive... More

Many of the beers are bout $12usd. That said if you are looking for some craft American beer this place has a few good options. The service was sub par. Our server took almost 20 minutes to get our first beer. After that it slightly improved the rest of the meal but the customer interaction was never good. Our server... More

Thank you for the feedback! Clearly staff should let you know what beer is what when serving it to you. And apologies for the delay in getting your beer! That said, it's not the norm of how the staff behave so i'm disappointed to hear of your customer service experience. I'll certainly be speaking with the staff about it. Customers... More

So here's the thing. There is a lot of great food to be had in Tokyo. But there is only one great place for California-style pizza, and that is Pizzakaya. Perfectly toasted pepperoni pies? Check! Kid-craving Classic Cheese? Check! A Vegetarian Delight to soothe that veggie-craving? Check! White Pizza? Check! Several varieties of meat-combo pizza for carnivore nights? Check! Funky... More

Family and I visited on the recommendation of friends during our visit to Tokyo on Chinese New Year. We don't get a lot of great pizza in China, let alone American style and casual. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time. The pepperoni pizza was great - good balance of sauce and cheese, and piled with... More

We visited here for dinner. The portion size was good and the pizza was tasty although both my partner and I felt that there was too much salt. By Japan standards, this was one of the more expensive places that we had visited, with a large pizza being JPY3200 compared to JPY1100 in other places we'd eaten. Beer was also... More

Californian style pizza, with excellent side dishes, the salads are generous and fresh, the french fries , perfect. All fresh product, well prepared, served in friendly no nonsense style. The excellent cold bass ale is a very good compliment to the food. The price to quality balance is excellent. Glad my search for a good pizza place is over, I... More

Excited that they had gluten free pizza. Staying in Roppongi so they are very close. Pizzakaya is very close to the Hyatt. Just walk towards the elevated highway and turn left. Its 200 meters down on the second floor. I'm glad I went. Pizzakaya feels like the 'Cheers' of pizza places. It feels like a local joint. It was full... More
