The restuarant is a mid level buffet for 1200 yen It gets crowded and the manager is very particular about not letting a single person sit at a table without sharing, even if 4,5 such tables are empty. If questioned he gets quite rude about it. Once a friend told me he arrived early and wanted to sit at a... More

The “Nirvanam”, an Indian restaurant, 2nd Floor, Oote Building Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo is a very good choice for Indians visiting Tokyo. They serve excellent food at fairly affordable prices. The restaurant is manned by very courteous and efficient staff, eager to provide their customers with a great experience. Really delicious food, perhaps the best Indian food that I had in... More

Randomly chose here for lunch on a Tuesday. Buffet was small but included chicken, mutton, and veggie options. Restaurant is very small, but judging by crowd is a popular lunch destination. Food was quite good, prices were reasonable, and it was "ladies day" so I was served a complimentary special drink (fruity concoction). Location won't win any awards for ambience... More

Decided to have a lunch & Dinner at nirvana twice in a day. Had seats after waiting some peaple in line.very crowded in the restaurant. Tried a buffet style in lunchtime. Then went a-la-carte dinner with some friends. Well, the taste was good but not expected. The staff looked bored on that day.especially eveningworking.

From Indian standard food was average. However, they might have customised for local people. They serve buffet during lunch. They were playing very light south Indian music. Ambiance was nice. Staff was courteous. What I liked: They have pure vegetarian dishes/options as well. What I did not liked: Breads were quite think and not well roasted.

Had a damn fine meal here this week. And, will definitely be going again. Food: Probably the best Indian I've had in Tokyo. It doesn't seem to have been watered down for the locals' tastes. We had the Masala Dosa and two samosas as an entree. The Dosa was huge. The samosas were served with a sauce that reminded me... More

The buffet during lunch is very good and at a very reasonable price. The items are limited but considering this is in Japan business district it is a great deal. The taste is nearly authentic indian. The dinner is alacarte. The price is bit high but the taste is very good. The quantity of the food can be more. So... More

Some of reviewers have commented that there would be Indian restaurants who serve dishes more tasty. It might be possible. But, for my tongue, I dare to say that this restaurant offering Southern Indian recipes is one of the top class ones in Tokyo. It's proven that you can see tables are occupied by Indian natives so often. They prepare... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
