Hamburg is no longer the poorer cousin of steak, thanks to this place. Thay taste fabulous, like "waygu-ised". Tender, juicy, with a fullness in taste and firmness in texture like a good wagyu. The tomato salad that comes with the set is also interesting. And nice. The tomato is served whole, totally covered with a layer of savoury tomato cream... More

It's the white building, left and across the street from the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Eki. Order their #1 dish cooked in Tin Foil with a whole Potato, vegi's and a naked tomato. Make this a must stop for lunch or dinner. Also they have Fish and A bone in Pork Chop. A limited menu so they can focus on... More

The main attraction seems to be its hamburger steak. Of course, it has other food on its menu, such as fried oyster, scallop, etc, but most customers appear to have come for the hamburger. The latter comes with a tomato salad, and rice/bread. Given the medium-level price, you cannot expect the meat to be of very top class, but the... More

I was looking for a lunch to fill me up before a long flight and stopped here based on reviews. There was about a 10 minute wait at noon but I enjoyed watching the chefs preparing all the Tsubame burgers - this is what almost everyone ordered. Very efficient operation, friendly staff. I'm not giving this a 5 only because... More

This is a popular place, so be prepared to wait! We were told it would be a 30 minute wait but, as most tables only seat 2 people, it took longer to seat our group of 5. We ordered the house specialty-a burger with green beans & brown sauce; a burger wrapped in bacon and one topped with egg. They... More

I dined in with my aunt. Quality of food and prices are so reasonable. Highly recommend dine in here once in Tokyo. Location is just in front of shinagawa station. Just one thing... It's really packed here... Better be careful the timing dine in!

We were staying at the prince hotel nextdoor, everyone was going to Mc Donalds or other italian restaurants in the area, but thanks to Tripadvisor we ventured to try this recommended burguer steak. This was the reccommended dish of the restaurant and you could see people were mostly having that dish. We liked it so much that we went again... More

Since I am German I took the Eisbein and Sausages aling with good German Bitburger beer. Tasted like beeing at home and I really enjoyed it.

So far this is the best meal we have had in Shinagawa. They specialize in hamburger streaks. They do a great job of preparing the hamburger and it is easy to forget it is just that (hamburger). Excellent flavor, cooked correctly and reasonaby priced. You can not ask for more in Japan. Close to the train station, stop by, you... More

I arrive in Tokyo but had not researched restaurants adjacent to my hotel. I like good food and I don't care if it's upscale dining or a hole in the wall.....this place is neither. It is a great restaurant filled with locals and I guess some travelers like me that were given the 411 on a great dining experience. We... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
