Great food and very kid friendly. It's your typical Outback and nice to have when you're looking for something familiar.

We could not fault the food quality here - delicious steaks and sides, generous portions and served in reasonable time. The one drawback (which, sadly is still prevalent across Japan) is that the "smoking" section is adjacent to the non-smoking section - so you might as well light up and join the plumes of smoke. Hopefully, Japan will eventually legislate... More

I asked for some extra croutons and I got three pieces, bread and butter was also limited while in the States you can get as much as you like. They also ask 10% service cost even though that is not common in Japan

If you want western food this is as good as most I suppose. It's a chain but simple, good service and cold beers. The food was a 3 and I would never go there if I was at home but it serves a purpose and for a large group many of whom were picky it ticked the boxes.

...especially after three weeks of Japanese fare (not that it's a bad thing). The Outback was close to the Prince and would be familiar. It was. Just like home. I rarely have their lowered quality steaks but they do a fine job on ribs, onions and pastas. It was a pasta the other day, with shrimp, and it was fine... More

Just plain hungry and didn't want to deal with the "Lost in Translation" feeling I have sometimes been getting at yet another Japanese restaurant. This was definitely Western comfort food: great steak salad with blue cheese and tender, tasty pork ribs. Best of all, because we're not big eaters, we split both the salad and the ribs (actually they split... More

Out late after arriving from Henada airport, we were looking for something simple. This place fitted the bill. Considering we were from Australia, the 'theme' was something of a joke! The food and service were more than acceptable for a decent cost. Neither of had steak, one went with ribs ( considered very good), while the other had BBQ chicken... More

Being a regular visitor to Japan I do appreciate prime steak in Tokyo you pay a high premium for the luxury. Outback steak is not somewhere that offers a real quality piece of meat. That said they cooked the steak for all of us exactly as requested which showed a good chef in the kitchen. It's fine, and somewhat good... More

Not "No Rules, Just Right"; but rather, "We have rules and our rules are more important than just right" It appears that your store in Shinagawa Tokyo didn't get the memo, or the supposed culture of the Outback restaurant chain. I travel to Tokyo frequently and about once each visit, I make a trip to one of the Outback Steakhouses... More

Living overseas for years I have missed American style (not fast food) restaurants and this one is my favorite! We arrived about 6:30pm and were seated right away. The kids were given a paper to color with crayons which kept them busy until the food got there. We ordered appetizers and our meals within 15 minutes. The food started arriving... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
