This is beautiful restaurant in the Conrad Hotel facing the Bay. Everything we ordered had some special twist that elevated the flavors. As others have stated, I was questioning a Chinese fine dining restaurant in Japan. This was particular interesting to me as there was a large Chinese presence amongst the guests during our stay. However, I put aside my... More

We booked this resteraunt on a recommendation. It turned out to be one of the best Cantonese Meals we have had. The resteraunt is situated in the Conrad Hotel Tokyo.

Amuse bouche was a real worry. Was NOT what an amuse bouche should be. It was 2 squares of beef...tough and chewy with no great flavour. Fortunately it all improved from there. Several courses followed of a high quality, except for the last before desert. That may have been me because I do not like glutinous rice. Wine list is... More

I'm not one to want to overspend especially when I have kids that are quite content with Panda Express (that is an American Chinese fast food chain). But this indulgence is by far the most amazing quality Chinese food I have ever had. Some might say I can take you to a hole in the wall that is way cheaper.... More

My husband and I visited here for lunch and wow! What an amazing experience. We knew going here it was on the more expensive side but when on vacation, you splurge. We absolutely loved it! The staff, the food, the view! The manager working (I apologize but cannot remember her name) even helped us get Baseball tickets (good seats) booked!... More

Very disappointing experience eating here. The prices are outrageous... over $15 for a bottle of San Pelligrino? Something that would cost maybe $4 or $5 at a restaurant at home and maybe $1.99 at the supermarket. And the food was just so-so. As an entree we had stir fried chicken with cashews and it was fine, but seemed like something... More

I chose China Blue to take a friend for lunch who I don't get to see very often and I wanted to spoil her a little. What a great choice. China Blue is on 27th floor of the Conrad Hotel by Shinbashi station in Tokyo. It's a small treat just to go into the building. The restaurants are on 27th... More

Hard to find much of anything wrong at the Conrad in Toyko. China Blue just adds to the list of things done extraordinarily well. Quiet dining with superb views and food and service.

This was our first time to go to a Michelin starred Chinese restaurant. We didn't know what to expect as Chinese food can get quite heavy, but everything was so healthy, and the fish dishes were amazing, not surprising regarding its location. The amazing views were an added bonus. We ordered from the set Ka Shou menu, I can't suggest... More

Restaurant: CHINA BLUE (Tokyo) Location: CONRAD Tokyo, Harbor / Bay Transitioned hotels. GREAT choice. At a Conrad Hilton dining apex, I met the Head Chef / Gabrielle. She is from Argentina. A charm. She has a ton of experience. She helped open the Hilton's Azerbaijan hotel. Gabrielle introduced me to Kiyoki Yoshioka (Restaurant Manager - China Blue Food & Beverages).... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
