Visited Le Chateau Joël Robuchon in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary only to [almost] relish in one of the finest culinary experiences available anywhere. At the outset, one arrives at a magnificent 'French' chateau with no attention to detail spared either externally or internally. This only served to enhance the evening's fare. The tables are large, opulent and well... More

Visited Le Chateau de Joel Robuchon for lunch. Situated in the Yebisu district of Tokyo, the restaurant is situated in a grand mansion reminiscent of a French chateau. From the very start of our visit, service was friendly, personal and efficient. Our party of 8 were met in the lobby entrance where our jackets & shopping bags were taken to... More

Had a lovely lunch. The service was attentive and every course brings no disappointment. The kitchen is indeed first class. Best to make a reservation.

Le Chateau de Joel Robuchon has set the bar for what we expect at a 3-star restaurant -- excellently prepared food with fine attention to detail in plating, delightful and rich ambiance, first class service and pacing. It is really more than just a meal -- it is a full dining experience to be shared with good friends and family.... More

This is a classic Joel Robuchon restaurant- elegant chandeliers, beautiful decor, nicely spaced out tables. You are wowed right when you walk through the doors of Le Chateau, and it doesn't stop there. I came in for lunch - this was our last lunch in Japan, and we wanted to end it on a high note. The service was impeccable.... More

I know Michelin says their ratings are all about the food but I feel when dining at such establishments it has to be beyond that. The ambience and service are also extremely important to the overall experience and chateau Robuchon delivers. There is a reason why Joel has the most stars behind his name. The setting is intimate with nicely... More

This is one of the very few restaurants that have 3 stars given by the Michelin Guide outside of France. The tables are all spaced apart to allow plenty of privacy. The service is impeccable. My wife and I went for the large tasting menu which was enough. The decoration is very elegant but not tacky. Wine menu is ample... More

My sisters and I had dinner in Chateau de Robuchon, and it was an overall nice experience. The place was elegant. The food was delicious, I particularly liked the caviar and their bread selections. It's a nice place to celebrate special occasions with loved ones. Plating was lovely! Just don't mind the cardboard cutouts of the food they sometimes stick... More

This is a great special occasions place. My wife and I really enjoyed it. You walk up an amazing staircase to enter the main dining room. The tables are all spaced apart to allow plenty of privacy. The service was impeccable. They even took a photo of us with their camera and gave us a picture in a nice envelope... More

We went there for lunch . The food were amazing. The environment is great. The service is excellent. I felt like I went to French when I was dinning in the restaurant. Food is tasteful and beautiful. I love the cheese cart and the desert cart. It's like a all you can eat buffet but in a fancy way. remember... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
