after eating sushi at a couple of high-end places, I wanted to get some conventional, run-of-the-mill sushi. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is high. Even the sushi chefs speak and understand enough English to be helpful. This is a chain, and the Ginza location is very similar.

Restaurant in the Tsukiji market area, noisy and with lots of people coming in and out. Chefs' speed is impressive and the sushi is some of the best I had in Japan. Simple decoration and building; everything is focused on fresh and delicious food.

1) should try the raw seafood.. So gooddddd and fresh 2) the restaurant is comfortable for those who bring infant with stroller to dine in.. Air conditioned and very nice for a family despite the location in the market.. 3) the menu does not vary but this restaurant is dedicated to those who wants to eat real sushi..

After browsing the fish market, this place was perfect for lunch. The staff were warm, and we got brave and tried a bunch of things we had never tried before - salmon roe, octopus, scallop - but the medium fatty tuna and the eel were to die for. Eating here I felt like I had never actually had sushi before... More

Placed near the Fish market - it just had to be great sushi. A lot to choose from and a lot of different mixes. Go for the not traditional ones and you will taste something you haven't before. The staff is very nice and gives you a great experience.

Our first afternoon in Japan - strolling around and by accident finding this place. waited in the queue outside for over 30 minutes with increasing curiosity while watching what was going on inside. When we entered we were loudly welcome by the friendly staff. got excellent recommendation and food - all extremely fresh - we watched how they prepared absolutely... More

Had breakfast here after watching the tuna auction. Much less crowded than some other popular places at tsukiji and absolutely delicious sushi. Sushi elsewhere is completely ruined for me now - had actually had sushi at a conveyor belt bar popular with the locals in ueno the day before but that, while good, couldn't hold a candle to this place.... Ate with family and colleagues, seven of us in all in a large room downstairs. Menu is in both Japanese and English. Traditional Japanese service by the female staff. All the sushi, sashimi, tempura and side dishes prepared to perfection. Highly recommend for large groups looking for a quiet and comfortable night of dining in Tsukiji.

It may take a bit of wandering in the streets of Tsukiji to find Sushizanmai Honjin - but once you arrive you will be welcomed with open arms by the owner - or at least his statue. We went for pretty basic (except the horse mackerel sashimi) and it was spectacular. The melt in your mouth o-toro brought tears to... More
