We stay in Tokyo 5 days and at Sushi zanmai in the fish market we tasted the best sushi. Fresh and top quality fish. Informal atmosphere and nice staff. If you want to avoid the evening queues of tourists go for lunch.

Been several times already in a few of the branches and I know I will go back again soon. Quality sushi and sashimi at reasonable prices and friendly (also tourist friendly..) staff.

Our stop here was for a late dinner after arriving in tokyo on August 9th. The staff are very welcoming to tourists and we received great service. The sushi was very fresh the most memorable items and the uni sushi (very fresh) and tuna tartare. This shop is right by the fish market in tsukiji so you know the fish... More

There are many "better" sushi restaurants in Tokyo but in my view the Sushiszanmai chain offers the best value for money. I have eaten at 3 of their restaurants in Tokyo and have always had a good experience even when ordering their seasonal value sets such as their Tuna set that has 5 different cuts of Tuna for 1800 Yen.... Excellent food, very good offer, easy to make it in English thanks to the menus and ordering system. Perfect, clean and calm 5 minutes away from the market, instead of the crowded small places in the market itself. We chose sushi by the piece among a wide offer. The tuna literally melted in our mouth. Cannot miss "fatty Tuna", its... More

Went here for dinner with my wife this evening, and I had the best and most fresh sushi, sashimi and tempura I've ever had in my life. Friendly and unsophisticated environment and atmosphere, with Japanese food to die for, without emptying your pockets. Probably the best Japanese meal I had so far.

I came here ridiculously early in the morning after touring the Tsukiji Fish Market. BEST breakfast of my life. You'll never find fish like this anywhere else of earth, Absolutely perfect sushi. Just trust the chef with his recommendation.

1 Thank Lolatah
