We were lucky enough to to get a reservation while staying at the Mandarin. The whole experience was fantastic and the athmosphere relaxed and friendly. The food was exceptional with fantastic tastes and every dish full tasty surprises and aromas and presented with great imagination. The culinary surprise of our trip.

I have no words to describe my experience at Tapas. Maybe I do. Fantastic and out of this world ! My husband and I chose to celebrate my 60th birthday here and we were not disappointed. There were 4 couples including us served that time (April 8, 2017, 1300) yet Chef Ping and his staff made it very personal and... More

The food and atmosphere were delightful and intimate! Each dish was better than the last and the meats served were phenomenal. The chef was very fun and friendly as he served and explained each dish. We chose the wine pairing option and weren't disappointed with the wine selections and our glasses were never empty.Book early and don't miss this incredible... More

Unreal, intimate 13 course meal. Chef did an awesome job of interacting with the guests and explaining his process and inspiration for each dish of the Sakura menu. Worth every dime (and calorie). A bonus is the stunning views of Tokyo from the dining room.

This is a tough restaurant to book. Best to book 2 months in advance. Anyway, Ping the chef takes pride in his kitchen, his creations and his small but hardworking team. He only has a small chef table seating 8 pax at any one seating. Trained in El Cellar, Ping has brought molecular cuisine to Japan. What a breadth of... More

I really enjoyed the Tapas Bar, it's a lot of fun. I think you have to be in the right frame of mind to get the most out of this place - it is gently experimental, involving a lot of interaction with the chefs, and a bit of a group (the other diners) atmosphere. It is a little bit like... More

Delicious food and good fun. A really artistic experience; more art than traditional dinner. We really liked it, unlike anything we have ever been to!

My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner while in Tokyo. It was easy to book by email. We had a great night. I wasn't sure I would as other times we have been to a fancier type expensive restaurant, I have never felt it was worth it afterwards but this was great and the food was delicious.
