Japan is an expensive place no doubt . But incredible levels of honesty and politeness every where, Well , then you havent been to Ginza Torishige. We spent close to 3000 yen on a tiny amount of food - two shitake mushrooms for 450 yen...More

We are afraid it is not correct that we are unfairly charging 750 yen. We state in our menu that we charge 750 yen as "Otohshi", an appetizer served to every guest. Otohshi is served at traditional Japanese restaurants to serve appetizer quickly to the...More

Delicious yakitore served for over 80 years! The food was amazing and our waiter spoke enough English to explain a few things to us. They had an English menu with a history of the restaurant. It is near the Kabukiza theater and apparently got its...More

We had a lucky seat at the counter and could watch the grill master prepare the yakitori. He does this incredibly skillfully and it pays off. Each course was delicious. The chicken liver was not our favorite, but that's probably due to personal taste. The...More

Stopped in for a solo dinner around 7 pm. Seated quickly at the counter. The wait staff spoke great English and were very gracious to me, who doesn't speak any Japanese. Seemed like I was the only tourist there, filled with locals. Ordered the set...More

I was actually looking for a specific restaurant nearby, and when I found it, it was closed. So I walked around a bit and came upon Torishige. This is my first trip to Tokyo, and to be honest I was hot and my jet lag...More

After a 14-hour flight from the east coast of the USA, we were hankering for some yakitori and Torishige did not disappoint. The little bamboo skewers were lined with charcoal-crisped, juicy, tender, delectable morsels of chicken, mushrooms, pork, and all sorts of tasty bits and...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
