With all the rave reviews we had wanted to eat here for so long. We had tried to book this restaurant several times and was ecstatic when my hotel finally managed to book us this time. However we were extremely disappointed. The taste and quality was just standard. The fish wasn't wow fresh either. But the worse part was this... More

We were so glad we managed to get a reservation at this 2-star restaurant. Our 1st experience with a sushi master!! The restaurant is located on the 9th floor of a nondescript building in Ginza. It Can accommodate max 10 pax at a time. Decor is simple, very quiet and serene and we made sure we were on our best... More

Purest of the sushi places we visited. Every course was absolutely flawless and this is classic sushi and classic sashimi. No twists or garnishes (not that I don't like those when done right and with a light touch) and great to see how classic simplicity, when done right and with the best ingredients, is so good. We were 2 adults... More

Slightly above average food but what ambience ! No photos ! No perfume ! A not very chatty chef ! You have to really love his art to go back again !

Mizutani. It would be my first two Michelin star rated restaurant and first sushi bar in Tokyo. I was ecstatic at the opportunity to eat from one of the world's best sushi masters. As a foodie, I was ready for my mind to be completely blown. Perhaps my bar was set too high but I left the meal questioning myself... More

This was the first top-class Edomae sushi meal I ate, and it forever changed me. Unlike at Sukiyabashi Jiro where you can expect 20 nigiri pieces, or Sawada where you can expect even more for the lesser(!) omakase, this meal goes for quality more than quantity. It consisted of 5 sashimi servings, followed by 12 nigiri pieces, and finished with... More

The sushi restaurant is operated by chef table (omakase - chef decides what to offer) only. We have ample experience to fine dining and sushi and sushi and sashimi by Master Mizutani still blew us away, not only impressed by the umami (the fresh and sweet taste of seafood) but the selection of best seasonal fish and seafood. I must... More

It was an honor to dine at the restaurant of one of the best chefs in Japan. Seeing sushi just transforming under in his hand, it was a very memorable and special experience. After one piece was made, it was out onto the plate in front of us, unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures...so guess we can steal some... More

I was surprised that I had to make my hotel concierge call for reservation and filled up two application forms to make this reservation possible.... (one was for credit card authorization in case of no show which is understandable but the second one was the agreement with hotel to authorize the charge.. anyway to make the story short - we... i visited for lunch and had the sushi & sashimi course. The chef is pretty skilled and his knifework while slicing the fish & serving is pretty impressive. the sushi pieces contained a bit more wasabi than my comfort. Abalone was pretty good. The staff speaks limited English & is a cash only place. There are better restaurants to spend... More
