We got there a few minutes before they opened for lunch, and the line was already long. We got the lunch sets, and they were very good. Their specialty was the tempura with the dipping sauce.

I chanced upon this restaurant when I was exploring around my hotel at Mitsui garden. I loved their C Don set that comes with 3 prawns, cuttlefish, brinjal . Thought that the tempura are in general oily but this one turns out to be ok....More

This an outstanding and top notch tempura restaurant. While expensive, the quality of food, attention to detail and level of service is impeccable..

Very convenient to our hotel in Ginza. Looking for a quick dinner. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Tempura was good but not the quality we have seen elsewhere - not quite as crisp as others. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable evening.

Went for the set, cooked by the chef in front of you, per pax 16200 yen. Selection of 3 tiger prawns, scallop, fish and veggies. See picture, nothing to shout about, but ok for first timer, not worth the price.

I have patronized this 100-year-old restaurant for almost 30 years. It was one of the very few restaurants indicated on an old English-language map for American GI's in 1950s. Fried shrimps very fresh and not greasy. Soya sauce is a kind of house-secret. Order the...More

The staff members were rather prompt in welcoming us and we were offered the English and Chinese menus. The tempuras from the C-don and Amago-don were limp, greasy and soggy. The prawns, I've a feeling, isn't fresh and had been frozen. Wouldn't be a restaurant...More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant being an easy walk from the hotel. We were warmly welcomed and provided with English menus along with a cup of tea, a hot towel and our chopsticks. The wait staff either spoke or understood English sufficiently well so that...More

The underlying ingredients are excellent. The maitake tempura is absolutely inspired. But the time the tempura got to our table, though, it was lukewarm, soggy, and limp. You may have a better experience if you sit at the counter.

The staff were welcoming, the view from the upstairs window was really interesting and the food was OK but slightly heavy. I have eaten better. I guess it is good for a rapid lunch but I would go elsewhere for dinner.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
