We had a really great meal, the portions were big and tasty and service was excellent! I have to say the dessert that I chose was spectacular, it was almost a deconstructed lemon meringue pie and one of the nicest I have ever tasted!

Under new management in 2016. Happier looking and more attentive waiting staff than before, and a reorganised service area made the service aspects fine. The terrace is through the cafe behind a fairly bog standard small village cafe. The food is really excellent, good sauces, great deserts, good selection on the reasonably priced menus.

This was a good choice for eating out in St.Chinian with an evening market happening in the square. Passing through the functional bar and further on an inner restaurant, it was magical to sit under the three beautiful old lime trees and enjoy the sensitively lit dining space, thronged with a happy crowd. The sensibly priced menu was honest and... More

Wanted to try something close by as staying up the mountains This looked OK and lots of locals so thought we'd give it a go The staff were not overly friendly although it was fairly late in the lunch period but we were not the last to arrive Our waitress was less than attentive and we had to repeat ourselves... We had a lovely dinner in the beautiful, atmospheric, cosy garden of the café. The personnel is very kind.

Don't let the front put you off, the garden at the rear is your quintessential outdoor southern french restaurant. Beautiful blue skies filtering through green leaves, gravel floor and lost of locals grabbing a quick lunch and rosé. The food is good, if you understand simple french bistro food. Honest, tasty, plenty of it served quickly. I'd happily eat here... More

Enter through an unprepossessing bar area and through the dining room to a shaded terrace to enjoy 3 courses of good food, with a 1/4 litre of wine included, for less than 15 euros.Hot goat's cheese, with a bucketful of lardons, to start, whiting in a mushroom cream sauce, tarte aux pommes to finish. all tastsy and well prepared. A hidden... More

The restaurant has a pleasant garden at the rear, shaded by a huge tree. The menu was pretty basic, but you couldn't fault the quantities or price.

Love this village and everything about it. Not eaten here, but the food looks very good. Will be visiting again before long!

Having been turned away by a few restaurants we were beginning to think that lunch was a lost cause until we found this establishment. We were made very welcome although we were late. The place was well attended by locals which is always a good sign. The service was fast and friendly and the food as expected really nice and... More
