A typical touristic restaurant, with menu in 4 languages and overpriced food. The service is really fast as they are working on rotation - hinting you to leave as soon as you finish your last mouthful. We ordered a bottle of wine which ARRIVED TO...THE TABLE ALREADY OPENED - this is a no no, especially now with Covid: THE BOTTLE MUST BE OPENED IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS.More

A cute restaurant with great outdoor seating. Ideal to enjoy a meal during the summer. The fish is simply fantastic, fresh and perfectly cooked. Good quality to price ratio.

Once again a perfect score at Mayflower in Getaria. Food was excellent: chipirones plancha, calamares romana, besugo a la brasa, etc.. everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was top. The waitress took the time to warn us about the big portions and suggested...to share the first service. We did not but appreciated the recomendation. The scenery is beautiful. A perfect sunday lunch under a beautiful sun in february.More

Turned up here on a Sunday without a reservation Although we arrived as it opened at 1pm all of the tables inside were reserved. We sat in a heated area outside. You should know that smoking appears to be allowed in this outside area even...though it is under cover. Our waitress was lovely. Our daughter ordered for us in Spanish but the lady also spoke fluent French. Not sure if English is spoken here. We ordered starters, main courses, desserts, coffees and a bottle of house wine and it came to 125 euros for three people. I considered this to be a good price for the quality of the food. The fish soup was delicious. The steak was very tender and the monkfish that was cooked on the barbecue was the best I have ever tasted. It was not cheap at 49€ for two people but well worth it. When ordering the fresh fish you do have to order side dishes as extra if you want them. Many of the desserts were home made and were delicious. It was a lovely experience on a cold wet November day with great food and friendly service and I would definitely recommend itMore

We had an excellent meal at the Mayflower. The sea food is fresh and tasty, cooked very well on their big grill. The Sea Bass was the best. Staff is friendly, and it's a very nice place to eat while overlooking the port and the...beach area.More

The location is great, all tables outside have sea view. All are protected, and all have Basque style linen. There is a charcoal grill, a feature of this town. We saw the same device at other restaurants. But at this one we saw the freshest...fish, and enormous portions encased in the wired fish grill contraption. We ordered a salad starter, fresh crispy and the sweetest onions. Plus a number of other dishes, probably too much. We also ordered turbot and hake. Wow, when they arrived, on the bone but looking just scrumptious. They were all cooked to perfection. The fish came apart like a dream. You do it all yourselves. Great padrons, shrimps too. Nothing but the highest praise. A fish cooked without pretentious add ons. Just olive oil, a small chili and garlic best we have all ever had. And very reasonably priced. Lovely helpful courteous staff. Winner under every heading.More

We had to try the Mayflower because our room at Pension Katrapona literally was one floor above the restaurant. And we are glad we did. Our decision to eat here was last-minute so we did not score one of the highly sought-after outdoor tables overlooking...the harbor. If you want one, definitely reserve in advance. Once we got past the brusque bordering-on-rude host(?) at the doorway we were seated in a pleasant indoor dining room and were served by a very charming, knowledgeable young woman who really enhanced our meal. Getaria is famous for its grilled whole fish and we had the best-loved fish - turbot. It was a delicious as it was ugly. Perfectly cooked. In addition, we had a tomato/tuna/onion salad that was excellent and a very generous serving of calamari. The local white wine (which we had three nights running) is the cheap and delightful tzakolina (pronounced 'chocolina'). Give it a try. Total was 104 euros which actually was a "bargain" given the prices at most of the other whole-grilled-fish places in Getaria.More

This place was recommended by a friend who lives in zarautz so we went there for lunch and it is such a great venue. Great seafood and fish (we took the grilled shrimps and the seabass for two as the main dish) and a glass...of wine for 65 euros and it was worth it. The service is so fast and they are very arranging for seating options which is great for enjoying the view of the harbor, zarautz bay and the whole coast...More

We had the Rodaballo fish - grilled on a charcoal based grill. As well fabulous grilled green pimentons, potatoes and anchovies that were excellent and very nice wine. The service is slow like many places in Spain but it wasn’t any slower and the servers...were quite friendly. You’ll want to make a reservation. Quite busy.More

We eat often at this restaurant and travel 50kms from France to do so. It is impossible to find better fish anywhere and the staff are wonderful. A plate of ham, a plate of pimientos verdes and then a whole barbecued turbot between two, washed...down with a delicious bottle of Txakoli and we are in Paradise!More

Absolutely you can. Either directly or through your hotel. I made mine in person by walking in, but I was also staying across the street.
